never forget the universal rule of the order of things: People Will Not Read It

signs at stores? émail? menu ?? instruction ? post online ? caption with andswer to question ? group hand outs ??? street sign ??? no. The Written Word Is The Enemy

The ability to occasionally Read A Thing will make you a hero in your workplace, especially if it is for example an error message that tells you what you need to do differently, or instructions on unjamming a printer.

how dare you say we put jam in the printer

dont get me wrong this is #mood but just try eating a piece of bread with salt. please, seriously. ok? at least a tiny bit. salt helps with nausea, bread calms the stomach acid. if you really can’t face eating anything, just lick some salt like a damn elk, then wait and see if you can manage the bread. make some broth if you’re into that kind of thing. no spices, yes salt. if you’re feeling too weak and shaky to do much, just have a cup of tea with sugar (energy) and lemon (again, good against nausea). nibble on the lemon first, it will feel good, but don’t overdo - citric acid on an empty stomach is a majorly bad idea. take care of yourself, you’re the only you we’ve got

You’re the only you we’ve got”

ok!!! ♥️

Yeah okay ill reblog that!!

This is so damn sweet and also good to know. I regularly have this struggle

Also ginger, ginger is a great natural remedy for nausea, ginger tea, ginger chews, ginger beer, ginger ale if you're desperate (there's not much actual ginger but there's some). Helps with nausea and doesn't have the sleepy side effects of Dramamine. Bread with a little salt and ginger is magical.

ID: Katara and sokka in swimgear. in the first image, sokka is searching for something in the water. his hair getting wet. katara leans over to him saying "don't you think, its time for a haircut?" in the second image sokka rose form the water, a dog-shark creature in hand, swinging his hair in Katara face splashing her. smugly he says "no <3". End ID

i know its winter! i know it likley snowed by now on the northern hemilsphere! but... on the southern side is summer time right??? so... its fine.... this is fine!!!

!!! please do not use or repost this artwork without permission!!!

Still one of my favorite pieces of ATLA fanart ever.

ok… imagine a moon knight and daredevil crossover where dd has no issues fighting the invisible jackals because the dude cant see shit anyway. moon knight is like “you can see them??” and matt, not wanting to reveal his blindness but having no idea theyre invisible, is just like “yeah i can see of course i can see”

moon knight then assumes dd is an avatar of an egyptian god. bc what else? so, naturally, moon knight asks “what god do you serve?”

“jesus”

“what??”

“im catholic?”

“what???”

oh to be a pup being painted - by William Henry Hamilton Trood (1848-1899).

You know he watched this happen and laughed his ass off and went, “people need to see this.”

these two paintings are called Uncorking the Bottle and A Surprising Result and were done in 1887.

im not really sure why the original post doesnt include the titles, they’re great.

Me, moving out of my mom’s house at age 15: man, it sure will be nice to never have to wake up to one of mom’s rage cleanings on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning that forces me into an unskippable 8 hour cutscene that ruins my weekend plans

[ten years later]

Me, trying to enjoy a sunny day with a coffee:

My mom, visiting me in my home: [has torn everything out of my cupboards and is rage cleaning MY FUCKING HOUSE]

“I LOVE that game!” (watched a letsplay and commentary about it)

this counts and i’ll hear nothing against it

if watching sports counts as enjoying the sport, then watching video games counts as enjoying video games.

And literally a huge part of gaming has ALWAYS been the experience of sitting around together, watching one person in the group play while everyone else cheers, heckles, shrieks, and generally has a good time.

“The average civilian hurts themselves on 75% of offworld missions” factoid actually just statistical error.

The average civilians actually hurts themselves on less than 10% of offworld missions. Rodney McKay, who injures himself on 90% of his offworld missions, is an outlier and should not have been counted.

Daniel is already an outlier. The SGC stopped counting him after five minutes.

I feel like the reason there aren’t any ‘Jewish hero fights the Fair Folk’ stories is because we’d easily get out of that situation.

Like, put Hershel of Ostropol in any situation involving the Fair Folk and bro would talk his way out.

This is why I’m not really scared of paranormal beasties. But yes, I’d enjoy reading this happen.

Names have power? Give them your secular name and not your Hebrew one.

If you eat their food you’re trapped? It’s not kosher anyways.

They speak in riddles? What, and you didn’t grow up answering a question with a question?

Confuse the Fair Folk with impossible halachic questions: if a man falls off a roof and onto a woman and as a result she becomes pregnant, is he obligated to marry her and is the child a mamzer? If meat is grown in a laboratory from a mix of various animal cells is it kosher, and is it even meat, and what bracha would you even say on it? Is a unicorn permitted to cleanse a poisoned stream on Shabbat using the innate purifying powers of its horn or does it count as work? Can it be justified as pikuach nefesh? Can necromancy be justified as pikuach nefesh, if one approaches necromancy with the understanding that it is just delayed medical assistance?

And if all else fails, you can always get out a fleischig pan, kick ass and take names, and don’t forget to say the blessing for fucking someone’s day up:

BARUCH ATA ADO-NOT TODAY ASSHOLE
