Keeper Sexyman: ELIMINATION ROUND I

Fintan Pyren by @crescentpaws

Quinlin Sonden by @let-them-sing-of-others

Ruy Ignis by @thefoxysnake

Definition of a sexyman: An often pathetic and/or evil man who is sexy (but perhaps not in the conventional sense)

Propaganda:

Fintan Pyren:

"he's like if a chewed on and half-dead rodent was a twink" anonymous

"twink, need i say more" anonymous

"Okay, let's be real. Fintan is HOT. Bro's the kind of person that makes you nervous. Good or bad, whatever. And I KNOW he gets a lot of hate, but let's be real. The only reason I'd join their cult- I mean the Neverseen, is because of HIM. Like, @/maxcrescentpaws art of him.... My friend that absolutely HATES Fintan, well, after seeing some fanart...." anonymous

"girl idk i just am hyper fixated on this bitch and want gethen to lose by an embarrassing amount" @luigimangionesjailcell

"I love all of them in different ways, but also FINTAN 😍" @kyeiscrying

"f slur (lovingly)" anonymous

"He's a twink with fire powers, you should utilize that!" @skia-tumb

"Three words: HOT. AS. FUCK." anonymous

"he's absolutely pathetic. and evil. also did i mention he's gay? and he has a cool backstory that shannon better elaborate on or imma throw hands" anonymous

Why yes he did end several people's lives while being incredibly hot, but when you look past the murder, hes just incredibly hot. Ans that's enough for me, and a lot of people, I think." anonymous

Quinlin Sonden:

"lost cities biggest gayest divorcee-that-was-never-even-married-to-begin-with… hes cool" @necromycologist

Ruy Ignis: none

Mugshot of a teenage girl arrested for protesting segregation, Mississippi, 1961.

Her name is Joan Trumpauer Mulholland. Her family disowned her for her activism. After her first arrest, she was tested for mental illness, because Virginia law enforcement couldn’t think of any other reason why a white Virginian girl would want to fight for civil rights. She also created the Joan Trumpauer Mullholland Foundation. Most recently, she was interviewed on Samatha Bee’s Full Frontal on February 15 for their segment on Black History Month. Don’t reduce civil rights heroes to β€œteenage girl”.

Thank you Joan.Β

From her wikipedia page:Β

Her great-grandparents were slave owners in Georgia, and after the United States Civil War, they became sharecroppers. Trumpauer later recalled an occasion that forever changed her perspective, when visiting her family in Georgia during summer. Joan and her childhood friend Mary, dared each other to walk into β€œn*gger” town, which was located on the other side of the train tracks. Mulholland stated her eyes were opened by the experience: β€œNo one said anything to me, but the way they shrunk back and became invisible, showed me that they believed that they weren’t as good as me. At the age of 10, Joan Trumpauer began to recognize the economic divide between the races. At that moment she vowed to herself that if she could do anything, to help be a part of the Civil Rights Movement and change the world, she would.

In the spring of 1960, Mulholland participated in her first of many sit-ins. Being a white, southern woman, her civil rights activism was not understood. She was branded as mentally ill and was taken in for testing after her first arrest. Out of fear of shakedowns, Mulholland wore a skirt with a deep, ruffled hem where she would hide paper that she had crumpled until it was soft and then folded neatly. With this paper, Mulholland was able to write a diary about her experiences that still exists today. In this diary, she explains what they were given to eat, and how they sang almost all night long. She even mentioned the segregation in the jail cells and stated, β€œI think all the girls in here are gems but I feel more in common with the Negro girls & wish I was locked in with them instead of these atheist Yankees.Β

Soon after Mulholland’s release, Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton E. Holmes became the first African American students to enroll at the University of Georgia. Mulholland thought, β€œNow if whites were going to riot when black students were going to white schools, what were they going to do if a white student went to a black school?” She then became the first white student to enroll in Tougaloo College in Jackson, where she met Medgar Evers, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Reverend Ed King, and Anne Moody.

She received many letters scolding or threatening her while she was attending Tougaloo. Her parents later tried to reconcile with their daughter, and they tried to bribe her withΒ a trip to Europe. She accepted their offer and went with them during summer vacation. Shortly after they returned, however, she went straight back to Tougaloo College.

She ultimately retired after teaching English as a Second LanguageΒ for 40 years and started the Joan Trumpauer Mulholland Foundation, dedicated to educating the youth about the Civil Rights Movement and how to become activists in their own communities.Β

I watched a YouTube video once (by a guy who’s name escapes me) about the importance of making sure the stories of white activists are told. His point was that it’s not about lavishing praise on them just because they were white and β€œwoke”, it’s about letting other white allies see that others have come before them who were willing to sacrifice and do the hard work. This way they can see themselves in someone and realize that destroying inequality isn’t a fringe interest or just an β€œus vs. them” issue. It has to be ALL OF US.

I still haven't watched Severance but congratulations to the fandom for getting a Blorbo who did end up crying, soaking wet in a suit and tie, and covered in blood at the end of the show. This is like getting a superbowl ring but for fandom I think.

I personally feel like the impact on Americans ranks pretty low on the list of most relevant reasons to care about whether Canada elects a transphobic prime minister, but maybe that's just me

I know most people don't care about anything unless it has to do with the U.S. but can we please start talking about the Canadian election.

Please don't vote for Poilievre. He's basically the Canadian Trump and plans to put in place laws that harm trans youth, and lots of other shit.

Please vote istg this is the only way anything will get better. Poilievre has been kissing millionaires and billionaires asses. He'll make life even harder, and he loves Trump.

Reblogs are appreciated, especially if you aren't Canadian.

Not sure if I have many Canadian uni student mutuals, but dropping this link just in caseβ€”info about on-campus early voting

We need to clear this up.

Edit: before I get stupid comments, probably should've clarified, but this is a Sokeefe post, just in case anyone gets offended. BEFORE YOU READ, because I see this a lot (with ANY ship post) commenting that you don't like this ship is completely unnecessary and has nothing to do with the argument that I'm making. Just scroll past. Thank you.

When Keefe and Sophie get married, Keefes going to take her last name.

I don't care if Sophie Sencen "sounds better" I have heard countless arguments on why Sophie should take his last name yada yada. I'm not taking that bull crap. Besides, Cassius doesn't deserve that gratification.

You're telling me that Sophie Foster, potentially one of the most legendary people in Elvin history, who will be talked about when she's Ancient- thousands of years after the events of the series, should change HER last name? Her last name is what's gonna be known for the rest of time. Her children will be known more than the Vackers.

She's the elf who was raised by humans and has a human name. She's keeping her name to remember her human parents and honor them even if they don't remember her, or even have that name anymore.

I've also seen the argument that Keefe should keep his because he's not gonna let his family history change how people thought of him or what not or like he grows past the history of his last name. Compelling, but it isn't within his character.

Keefe taking her last name would symbolize him cutting ties with his abusers. After everything, his parents put him through, he's leaving them in the past, no longer accepting their abuse.

Taking the name Foster, is him looking towards a future where he's not constantly looked down upon. He has people who love him. He might even take Ruewen, becoming Keefe Foster-Ruewen-- and symbolically acknowledging how he has a family now. One that loves him. He will have in-laws who actually take care of him and care enough for him to start calling them both Mom and Dad. (Keefe will grow on Grady by that time. In stellarlune, he already is kinda there)

Keefe had already said that when he gets married, he's gonna take his spouse's last name.

And c'mon. He would love to be a Foster.

I know here in the forbidden cities, the man's last name tends to be the one taken. But the Elvin cities are completely different. They have completely different marital customs. Don't push OUR customs on a completely different culture.
