you see this especially with truthless recluse.. night you already know we could both go on about how that pisses us off. but these people ignore all of pure vanilla's pivotal character moments outside of beast yeast, because they only care about the stories that feature shadow milk. they reduce pure vanilla down to basically an object only to please shadow milk both as recluse and just pv in general and its just like :/ ... and i dont think theyre even doing that as like a unique toxic dynamic thing bc then its just a matter of different tastes, they just actually think theyre portraying them correctly (ex. "pure vanilla outmatches shadow milks freak") because they either dont read the story or they didnt understand a single thing they read

they revolve around each other. there is no one-sided aspect to their relationship. they cant exist with out each other and that goes both ways. pure vanilla needed shadow milk to bring him to his lowest so he could rise up to his highest. he needed someone to make him face both the cruelness of truth and the sweetness of deceit so he could embrace and rise above it all. shadow milk needed pure vanilla because pure vanilla is the only one who can understand him and accept him for who he is. pure vanilla is the only one who sees through his masks and still cares about the cookie underneath it.

this is why i also get annoyed with the one-sided shadowvanilla/friendzoning rhetoric with the ending of ep 8. its not onesided, pure vanilla literally says he feels the same longing for shadow milk that shadow milk feels for him. he never said "as friends tho lol no homo!" he said HE FEELS THE SAME WAY. pure vanilla telling shadow milk he WANTS to be friends is him trying to initiate a healthier relationship between them. it doesnt dampen or erase the fact that they are soul-bound. whether or not they are friends, lovers, enemies etc. does not erase the fact that they are soul-bound. he was showing shadow milk that he doesnt need to be trapped in his own loneliness and the deceit he surrounds himself in. that they will always be tied together but there is a better way for them to be together than what they are currently. Am i making sense
