do you know what's crazy? I have no idea how to describe us. do you mind if this is a little long? hahaha
first, let me say, it's never too late to start learning music.
I started studying music through a social project, so I must mention that music is for all types of people, for all classes, for all ages. I hope you can find an opportunity like this one day and fulfill your dreams.
now, about us...
it's trial and error to form a band, really. I tried for a long time. we formed only last year. I think I was very lucky! a talented guitarist and a talented singer agreed to be a part of my band and we instantly worked out.
about the kind of music we make... we're all influenced differently.
I've been inserted into the punk scene for a while, and our mentors are all part of a punk band, so of course we're heavily influenced by punk rock. all of the members also have widely different music tastes, the guitarist prefers english bands, and the singer prefers brazilian indie/alt bands. we all grew up in rural cities in brazil, so of course we listened to a lot of sertanejo/country. my family is part of the samba school of my city. one of my mentors and I are part of a religion that has its own kind of music. I'm also very obviously queer so I attend queer funk parties as well... you know where I'm going. lots of influences.
so imagine a band that doesn't fit into only one genre. it's us !!!
for now we've composed songs that fit into pop punk, indie/alt, bossa nova and blues. we're aiming next for nu metal. honestly, we just let the lyrics decide what the next genre will be. usually we sing in portuguese, and the lyrics are heavy with conflicted feelings.
soon we're recording those and uploading them on some stream platforms. I hope u like us <3
