Everything I write is massively self indulgent. Iโm not ashamed, I only wish it could be like this for everybody all the time.

Acts 4 and 5 (mostly Act 4) are the most likely to have errors since they're never completely clear, so once again, I'll go over it once again tomorrow and see what I can fix up or what suddenly becomes clear to me. This is tentative -- check back in and see if it's updated!
I already transcribed acts 1-3 here. Once again, I updated it yesterday, so if you've read a copy that does not say it's been updated, maybe take a peek.
when you finish a fic that was everything you could of hoped for and you click on their user to see that theyโve written dozens of fics for that pairing
people who write fics. how do you feel about comments on super old ones you wrote like 2+ years ago
Bringing this out of the tags:
A fic written 2 years ago is NOT OLD. Two years is nothing. Two years ago was yesterday.
Also I don't care if a fic is 10 years old. Leave those comments!! Even if you think the author isn't active, or moved on from the fandom, I promise you it will make them smile.
I commented on a fic that was 11 years old, and there was already a response by the time I got up the next morning. Comment on the fics, please, comment on them, I promise it'll make the author's day either way
I got a comment on a fic of mine this week that just read "TWO THOUSAND AND NINE?"
I replied to it within seconds, of course. someone commented on my fic
As @pentapoda put it in this post:
(transcript: Every time someone comments on my old fic, i feel like I'm an old actor getting paid residuals. Appreciate you, old-fic-commenters. Key source of emotional income, tbh.)
Wrote 500 words today so Iโm calling that a win. Iโve been finding it so hard to write and really to do anything this past month. My energy and motivation are so so low
note: I have used round brackets to indicate things I am unsure about as opposed to round brackets since it seems they have used square brackets in some segments. I think it'll be obvious what's THEIR round brackets and what's MINE tho
Might update tomorrow when I'm not as tired if I go over it again and notice some errors or read some stuff I couldn't before, otherwise I might type out everything else I can see in that portion of the video
I encourage everyone to look at the screenshots or video themselves to see if they can read something themselves more accurately than I have. You can see the leak here.
I'm a fandom oldie and a strong proponent of "ship and let ship", and I defend everyone else's right to ship what they love... But I think that gives people the idea that I like, automatically love every single ship??? Or every single trope?
I don't though!
There are a lot of fandom tropes that are on my "absolutely fuck no" list. There are a lot of irk kinks that are also on my "nope absolutely not" list, too. Personally, this is healthy. I'm able to look at something and go "Yep, I hate it, but it's not harming anyone, so continue to do as you please."
I think this is where the rubber meets the road for actually having principles. Itโs easy to defend the things we like, just like itโs easy to fight for our own rights and those of people just like us. When you have to use logic to extend your sense of justice to people you canโt relate to, that actually takes effort.
Shout out to everyone doing the hard yet necessary work of posting about fictional characters kissing online.
Hi isindismay, i really like the cut of your jib, especially the way you write about x y and z, here is a few sentences about specific things i particularly liked about the fic i am commenting on right now, which i read and enjoyed and gave you kudos for (and definitely didn't just click on at random to ask you to write something for me). As i have read many of your other fics and noticed you often write about these characters/themes/tropes i'd really like to see your take on this idea of mine which includes multiple of these, if you'd be interested in writing it?
i hope you write (i hope we both write)
hand in unedited hand
You want to hurt that character because you hate them. I want to hurt that character because I love them. We are not the same.
i mean this in the gentlest possible way but if 75% of what you're posting for a given fandom is fuming rage spirals then maybe just maybe it's time to take a step back and consider whether or not you're actually having any fun with this optional thing you do for fun
