Anything and Everything Sarah & Duck

@its-a-ducky-mess

Hullo! This is a Sarah & Duck fan-page, posting tidbits, drawings, and various other thoughts on things. There's no set schedule for these, so expect posts whenever!

Hullo!

Thank you for visiting this Sarah & Duck fanblog. I'm a dedicated fan who's majorly attached to the world of this show. You'll find a variety of content that I find interesting and worth talking about regarding the series here. It could be little-known facts, fanart from myself, things I wonder about, or any other little tidbits I feel like posting about! I'll tag them using specific tags using the 'ducky' prefix. For example, art will be tagged 'ducky-art', facts are 'ducky-facts', headcanons are 'ducky-hc', etc.

I hope you're entertained by what I post!

Ducky Fools' is Now Over!

After a full day's worth of fighting, I have finally vanquished the evil spirit that took over my computer to post blatantly false content onto this blog. Phew...

In all seriousness, it was nice to "let loose" and just write down whatever inane drivels came to mind. I hope I wasn't too unfunny with some of those posts. Posts from here on will return to their regular nature.

Additionally, I'm considering making the Ducky Fools' posts private, in order to curb the potential spread of blatant misinformation. I understand it is not a serious situation at all, but I do somewhat feel like I "polluted" the Sarah & Duck tags. It's either that, or completely removing the series' tags on all the posts, so they would only be visible from this blog. I will think on this.

"Its head towered in the light, horns larger than its head, sounds that werenโ€™t from this time. What a staggering sight."

A leaked pitch bible claims that the reason the Ribbon Sisters whisper so much is because they listen to terrible creepypasta readings on Youtube and they scream in fear for hours and thus wear out their voices. Additionally, Strawberry is most afraid of Smile Dog and Lemon is most afraid of Ben Drowned.

There were a few, let's call them patch notes to the Sarah & Duck series going into the 4th Series, highlighted in some totally real planning documents.

"-Sarah now has a smartphone, but whenever she attempts to use it, she drops it in a puddle. -Gave Duck "The Power." -It is now canon that John -Bug has metamorphosized, but all that changed with him is that he's slightly bigger. -Umbrella now doesn't mind rain at all and don't come crying to me that this doesn't make sense, I am this universe's god I can do what I want. -The Ribbon Sisters have the canonical ability to teleport when not being observed. Sarah spends a whole episode trying to figure this out. -The Shallots merge into the Mega Shallot, and get a +3 Strength modifier. -Removed "The Power" from Duck and gave it to Bag. -Plate Girl is revealed to be ambidextrous for no real reason. idk, sue me idc at this point -Scooter Boy gets his ankle broken by his scooter once every episode he appears in, even if he's just in the background. To compensate, he gets $200 whenever he passes GO. -Cloud Captain and Music Lady get married on screen, but also that's the last episode they appear in. -A meteor strikes the Bread Shop but no one in-universe elaborates further than that. -Tomodachi Life 2 in 2026 is pretty hype right guys -Removed Lilith."

A Series 4 episode taking place during Boo Night again revolved around Sarah and Duck going around the neighborhood to hear scary stories from other characters. During the Ribbon Sisters' story, John asks Sarah if she has a sister, to which she replies with: "I did, but she's no longer with us."

After the show ended, there would've been a podcast featuring the cast of the show talking about behind the scenes information and generally acting in character in humorous ways. However, it never went past the first episode in planning due to incidents on set, such as John's voice actor getting into a fistfight with Sarah, the Narrator tripping over some marbles, and Plate Girl attempting to set off firecrackers while Scooter Boy begged her not to. Perhaps there's such thing as being too in character.

Skimming an interview, there was a unique question asked regarding Plate Girl. It is as follows: Q: "So, what is Plate Girl's story? Why does she like plates so much?"

A: "Plate Girl is wanted in over forty different countries."

The lore implications are astounding...

A few pre-release concept documents revealed the original series finale, which instead involved Duck being able to speak English fluently. When asked by Sarah why he never spoke at all during their time together, Duck said he was "silenced for fear of speaking the truth."

Perhaps it's best that our webbed-footed friend only spoke in quacks.

In the original broadcasts of early series Sarah & Duck, there was another side character named "Lilith" that sometimes showed up, akin to John, Plate Girl, or Scooter Boy. Strangely, despite having a proper name, she lacks a bird companion. She even lacks an item or other character quirk (like Scooter Boy's scooter or Plate Girl's plate). Doubly strangely, she is given an entry in the credits, but there is flat out no credited voice, only the character. In DVDs, rerun broadcasts, and iPlayer, her appearances and credits are completely wiped.

I remember Lilith's appearances. They unnerved me slightly. Not scare, but kinda just make me feel unease. Every shot featuring her in the background felt empty, like something should be there but it's not. Although, none of my other friends I've mentioned this to have had the same feeling. They look at me like I'm making things up, but something here is off.

Awakened Bahamut Cat is a great rusher unit if you can time him right!
