it’s been a while since i’ve posted or kept up with this blog. i just started lurking here a few days ago cause i missed writing and enha🤍 the reason for the extended break was because i got cheated on as soon as my semester started 😭 and honestly i just wanted to get my life back together for my personal wellbeing before i crashed out😛 i will be off and on with my posting schedule. i missed you all dearly🤍

it was uncomfortable. all that could be heard was the sound of your clock ticking and the gentle breeze hitting against the window accompanied by your muffled sobs and sniffles.
this past hour you’ve been trying to calm yourself down before your boyfriend came home from practice but the more you tried, the more it got harder to. the constant thoughts keep swarming around in your head. there is no end to it.
these past days haven’t been the nicest to you. you feel like everything’s moving fast. too fast that it’s leaving you behind. everything and everyone seems to be progressing except for you and this bothers you. you feel as if you’re not doing enough and that you’re missing out on a lot. it’s too much.

jake has always been the best boyfriend - like a golden retriever to your beck and call. his smile radiates through the entire room and his laugh could heal the souls of millions. he has loved you endlessly and never once have you ever doubted it.
so how did you end up yelling at him over not washing the dishes? "jake i asked you to do one thing for me ! and you couldn't even do that," you yell out. whatever those girls said about mercury being in retrograde, were right. it felt like the earth was rotating backwards with finals week around the corner. you have summed up about an average of 3 hours of sleep a day, the rest of the hours hunched over in the library.
it was getting more frustrating with the days going on and jake has been busy with his own school work. you knew jake was busy, either studying for his own finals or gaming with his friends. jake was always a smart guy, being in honors classes and passing them with ease. you. on the other hand, struggle to grasp concepts until they are fully immersed after countless hours of practice.
you had given jake a heads up to ask him to please wash the dishes before coming home. you wanted to cook dinner but you didn't have any clean dishes to use. jake, on the hand, had just got home and decided to take a small nap before doing some cleaning around the house. he sets an alarm and it doesn't ring.
"baby i'm sorry, it was a mistake, i didn't mean to forget," he says as he tries to pull you in for a hug. you shake off his advances and you roll your eyes at him, "it wasn't that hard of a task to do but you still couldn't do it? i've been endlessly studying in the library for finals week because i'm not a genius like you and i don't understand the material ! i keep trying all these practice problems and i keep getting everything wrong and i just wanted one thing to be done. i'm starving all day and i wanted to come home and cook us dinner but none of the dishes are done and.."
your voice breaks with ease and jake's demeanor immediately softens. his tone is so soft that you would miss it, "baby..."
the emotions that you've been holding for however long comes breaking down as tears streamed down your face. jake feels like his heart is chipping away, "oh baby, come here." you take a step forward before jake fully wraps his arms around you, his cologne wafting into your senses. his arms rub soothing circles on your hip as he plants soft kisses into your hair. "hey it's okay, i got you, i got you."
your tears start to slow down as you slowly catch your breathe. jake slowly pulls you to sit on his lap while the sound of your breathing is only heard. jake whispers to you, "what happened baby? tell me."
you only let out a small exhale, "i've just been so stressed with finals and i just can't grasp the content and i feel so stupid. i just don't know how to get these formulas down and i didn't want to bother you because i know you were busy with your own finals. i just didn't want you to become annoyed at me or think i'm stupid."
jake reaches up his hand to cup your cheek and softly caress it with his thumb, "my sweet angel, i can't believe you've been holding all of this in. it's okay to not understand content after studying it, sometimes you just need a little more time for things to click. if it doesn't, you know i'm here to help you always."
he continues on, "you are not stupid because you don't understand something, okay? you are very smart and work very hard and you can never bother me. baby, i'm here to love you."
your eyes soften at his words and the only thing you can say in this moment is a 'thank you.' jake points to his watering eyes, "look baby! you even got me crying." you only softly laugh and give him a kiss which he gladly returns.
"let's order some takeout and we can work on some of your material tomorrow morning? how does that sound?" jake says and you nod. for the first time in weeks, you finally smile.

you’ve had an off night - more like day. you’re exhausted, you feel gross, you just want to do nothing but rot in your bed. it’s just one of those nights where you don’t care about how you look - since you’re not leaving the house, what’s even the point? it’s not like you’re seeing anyone…right?
you lay in your bed, scrolling through tiktok - something that has become a part of your night routine - until you get the notification of an incoming facetime call from none other than your boyfriend, riki. a smile quickly found its way onto your face as you answered it. shortly after, you are met with riki’s half-covered face, indicating that he’s in bed as well. seeing that you answered, he pulled the blanket off his face to reveal the rest of it. you smiled, “hi my love”.
a large grin appeared on riki’s face, “hey baby,” he paused for a moment, his eyes scanning your face. you were about to ask him what was wrong but then he continued, “why have i never seen you in your glasses before? why am i now seeing it over a facetime” he whined.
“wait, what?” you asked, then you suddenly realized what he meant. you had your glasses on. “oh.” was all you could say then you ended up taking them off.
“wait, why are you taking them off? they look cute on you” he frowned.
the truth is, you weren’t fond of how you looked with your glasses on. that’s why your boyfriend’s never seen you with them. you didn’t want him to because you didn’t feel good about it. you were afraid that he’d like you less if he saw you with them. you hesitated, not really sure how to put it into words, “i just don’t like how i look with them on. i didn’t know you’d call tonight so i didn’t have my contacts on.”
“baby,” he started, “you look beautiful with them on. with or without them, you’re still and always will be beautiful in my eyes. i love you no matter what so never for a second think i would love you less just because of how you look.”
your eyes soften. you couldn’t help but feel a little silly for thinking this way. of course riki wouldn’t care about how you looked with glasses on. he’s literally seen you throwing your guts up and sobbing your eyes out before. you wearing glasses is nothing compared to all of that. “i’m sorry riki… i don’t know why i’m being like this” you groaned into your hands.
“don’t be sorry y/n, it’s not your fault. i just wanted you to know that i will never judge you. i want you to be 100% real with me, i want to see all of you.”
“i love you ki” was all you could say. you knew he would love you no matter what.
“i love you more,” more than you’d even know, he thought. “now, can you please put them back on. we need to make up for all the times i haven’t seen you wearing them” he tsked, shaking his head.
you rolled your eyes and grabbed your glasses, “fine, fine i’ll put them back on,” he smiled in satisfaction, “there, you happy now?”
“very.”

The feeling of the grass tickles your finger tips, almost making you throw a light laugh. The low lit sun kisses your skin and the scent of the earth breathes into your system. It's a sense of freedom and warmth that you can only delve into when getting lost in the carefully written pages and pages of a love story.
In the distance, there is a young boy that seems to enjoy the earth's presence. Sun-bathed skin that soaks up the sun's welcoming rays, playful eyes that hold a keen stare, and flushed cheeks that only Aphrodite could have blessed him with. But it's not just anybody - It's Yang Jungwon.
He catches your stare and gives you a wistful smile, slowly making his way to you. You can only stand still when he finally appears right in front of you. His calloused hands reach up to your face to caress the soft skin of your cheek. Jungwon's eyes flutter closed and it's like your eyes close on command. He leans in ever so slightly, the tip of his nose touching yours in a light nudge. His breath is getting closer to your lips until -
"Hey ! What was that for?" you groan. The pillow Riki just threw at you is now somewhere on the ground onto of a mountain of unfolded laundry. You look up to him from your book to see him leaning on your door frame.
"Well in case you didn't notice, dinner is about to be ready. We've called you like six times," he rolls his eyes. Sunghoon pops up from behind him, "Yeah peanut. If you weren't reading those shitty books, you would have noticed that Dad made your favorite."
"I'm coming, I'm coming. I just finished this chapter," you shooed them away. You put on a pair of slippers and stop at the bottom step when the door opens and a familar frame greets you. The man of the hour again - Yang Jungwon.
