do you guys ever see a post and think, "huh. this is a groupchat opinion."

I don't think we should ban tiktok, no- I believe that we should ban all short form content platforms because I just witnessed a goldfish attention span in real life and I am CONCERNED

Today at school one of my friends was on tiktok. I noticed that she was not watching any video the entire way through. "I do that sometimes too, she probably isn't really interested in any of them." I thought innocently. (I do go on reels but occasionally)

I ask her if she can play a rock song I like: she does, and about 3 seconds in, she puts it at 2x speed. I ask her why she did that and she responded, "it's 3 minutes long."

"uh. yeah. that's how long most songs are. do you not want to listen to it? because if you don't-"

"no, I want to listen to it but I mean- it's 3 minutes long!"

oh. my. god. I thought everybody was exaggerating!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T LISTEN TO A 3 MINUTE SONG???? it's not even a boring slow song or anything, this song has a pretty good beat!

and before anyone on the hellsite accuses me of being ableist: I have combined type ADHD and Tourette's syndrome which is a literal dopamine disorder, and guess what? I CAN HANDLE LISTENING TO THE SAME SONG FOR 3 MINUTES
