They’re a book now!

Hello! It’s been a while, but the short of the news is:

The Tale of Corsinby is going to be a book trilogy!

Yes! I’m halfway through writing the draft of book one. If all goes well then the first installment should be finished sometime in 2023. I have a lovely group of beta readers right now helping me edit the chapters. Progress will be slow, but it is steady. Trust me, I am too invested in this story to let it go uncompleted. Siofra and her strange parents aren’t going anywhere, I promise.

In other news I plan on doing more updates on the book’s progress. This week I’ll be sharing some sneak peeks of the draft chapters. Further in the near future I would like to do some more fun character playlists, as well as some Write with Me style livestreams! So stay tuned here for those announcements!

Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?

The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.

These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.

These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.

Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.

Yes, the glass will spontaneously crack or explode in the sun.
