Yeah it was really hard finding out I'm adopted and then that my birth mom disappeared when I was a kid. I guess the one thing that really got me through it was meeting my beautiful wife Kelly. She's estranged from her family of origin and values family so much she's a stay at home mom, which became really important to her about the time workplaces started electronically verifying social security numbers. God I'm so blessed nothing horrifying is currently happening in my kitchen.

adventure time slang is weird cuz like. when you first watch the show and hear the slang you're like "oh this is cringy slang but its not like awful" but it gets to a point where the voice actors deliver the slang so naturally you don't even notice it and its just. part of the world's vernacular. I can't think of any other show that's done in-universe slang like this

there's so much to be said about fire and oxygen as motifs for van. the oxygen mask in the plane which didn't fall for her, the fire in the plane shauna tried to save her from, her funeral pyre, the cabin fire, the vision she has in 3x03 where she sits before the fire place (foreshadowing 3x09??), the oxygen tank she was carrying around, the closed fire place which sucked the oxygen out of the room and knocked everyone out. fire and oxygen are what lead to van standing there, knife in hand, questioning if this is what the Wilderness wants.

With the new episode, im gonna just say im not a Shauna defender. I’m a Shauna lover, a explainer. But nowhere near a defender, because there really is no defense too any one of the girls actions.
I won’t apologize for Shauna, I won’t defend her actions, but more so I like to analyze the character itself.
Shauna Shipman is about the most beautifully made characters I have seen in a very long time. She’s awful, and she knows it. And I LOVE that about her. I could go for hours about why im so fascinated with her character, but it doesn’t matter.
Shauna shipman I love you so.
