SERIES:

Silk Sheets | Min Yoongi — To put it lightly, Min Yoongi is an unhinged mess. Relying on his best friend and CEO, Park Jimin, was a miracle he could only hold onto for so long, a miracle that gave him a fully paid, lavish lifestyle. That is, until Jungkook - Jimin’s best friend and secretary - forces Yoongi to start working at the Park Enterprises to repay Jimin for his unbelievable kindness.

But when the trio manage to bump into Jiha (Jimin’s most dilligent office worker) somewhere in the course of a very awkward dinner, Yoongi finds himself texting her hours later, the exchange quickly turning workplace inappropriate.

She can’t begin to describe the panic that tightens her chest when she finds the very same job-threatening man seated on Jimin’s couch the next morning, told that he was under her care for as long as he worked in the company.

But the sexual tension, the romance between the polar opposite co-workers isn’t all that happens under the company. Jimin struggles in his own relationship with his arranged marriage, and Jungkook helps a woman cheat to hide a large secret.

Yoongi-centred fanfiction (ft. CEO!Jimin and Secretary!Jungkook).

Trial & Error | Kim Seokjin — No one in a million years would have anticipated the news of murder in cold blood one morning in Gangnam. It was there in black and white, various headlines describing the chilling case of an affluent businessman, Kim Taehyung, and his whole family being murdered in the callous timeframe of ten minutes. So when Park Jimin, the family’s most trusted staff and personal butler, is apprehended for the four deaths with little evidence, two of Korea’s best lawyers are brought to the courtroom to assess what really happened that cruel night.

Jung Jiha is determined to weasel the truth out of an increasingly suspicious Jimin, while Kim Seokjin battles the allegations placed upon the man because there has to be compelling evidence out there.

Only given one month to iron out the threadbare case, Jiha and Seokjin have perhaps bitten off more than they can chew.

The only thing that could complicate this case more is if the two legal professionals began to get romantically involved with each other.

Seokjin-centred fanfiction, Lawyer!Seokjin (ft. Deceased Businessman!Taehyung, Police Officers!Yoongi & Jungkook, Butler & Main Suspect!Jimin, Jury!Hoseok, Court Judge!Namjoon).

warnings: swearing/profanity, this imagine talks about parents pressuring their child to be academically successful, even at the cost of their own mental health. as someone who has personally had their parents neglect their mental health for A’s and awards, please know that it is not worth it. your mental health is paramount, and you matter more than a letter on a piece of paper. it’s difficult sometimes, to sit down and study. it’s hard to find the motivation to even get up on some days, so i just wanted to quickly tell anybody who was reading this - i’m proud of you. you’re doing amazing and the only person in the world that’s worth impressing first is yourself. listen to your mind when it wants a break, and please do not neglect the things that truly make you happy. you’ve got this, and i know you’re going to do great things one day <3.

exam season was never a good look on you.

not having the time nor energy to battle putting your contact lenses in this morning, a thick pair of nearly-abandoned glasses adorned the bridge of your nose. and as you raced across campus trying to find your lecture hall that had been conveniently moved this morning, you sighed, clutching your laptop closer to your chest to avoid the only thing that could make this morning even more unbearable.

your body demanded caffiene, seeing as you hadn’t slept at all within the last day and a half. and it’s almost like your boyfriend had a knack for knowing what you needed, judging by his latest text.

stinky: got you an iced matcha, babe. where are you?

smiling, you moved to the side of the path you stood on, typing out a quick text after glancing at the top of your screen.

you were late anyways, so what was the point of going to class?

you: had class, but i can’t find my room. i’m in front of that weird psych building, the one that smells like hotdogs.

why did he have to be so attractive?

you couldn’t help but let your eyes fall back to your boyfriend, simultaneously scanning the rest of the diner and breathing a sigh of relief when the area was nearly empty, save for a few friends paying their bill.

after jungkook had admitted how sexy he found you in your new uniform, your own hormones had started to rise. and it was beginning to get to you, because you couldn’t help but sigh over absolutely everything about him - the way his lithe fingers ran through his hair before returning the black cap upon his head.

and god, that smirk.

he had been sneaking glances at you through your whole shift, occasionally tugging his soft bottom lip in between his pearly whites at the mere sight of you. you weren’t completely innocent, though, mind and gaze wandering off to him when you waited on orders. more often than not, you would even have to ask the customers to repeat themselves as you tried your hardest to ignore the little come here motions he would make with his index finger. or the way he would naturally let his muscular thighs part into a manspread, almost beckoning you to either sit or stand in between them.

after the phone call you had just recieved from your local diner, you were on cloud nine.

so when you found yourself tackling your boyfriend, jungkook, to the couch, he only welcomed the endearing action, wrapping his arms around your waist tight as you cupped his cheeks firmly.

“the lady called me back, koo! i got the job!”

you were finally going to start saving up some money, and the idea had you feeling all types of relief and pride. after the college semester began to get too hectic, after all, your boyfriend jungkook convinced you to move out of your dorm to help save some rent money, instead offering his space to you so you could both start living together.

and although you loved nothing more than to come home to your doe-eyed, perfect boyfriend, the fact that you were living with him free of cost weighed on your conscience from time to time.

“that’s great, baby, i’m proud of you!”

his coos and compliments had your cheeks feeling a little red, but you chose to ignore it as you shifted yourself closer to him, pecking his jaw delicately. his fingers, simultaneously, found your hair, dragging his lithe fingers through your dark hair.

“you’ll come visit me for my first shift, right? the manager gave me the closing shift for tomorrow.”

with how big and expectant your brown eyes looked right now, jungkook would be a callous man to say no, especially because you were his girl. so he grabbed your hands softly, whispering a soft cute against your forehead before pecking the area reassuringly.

“of course i’ll be there, darling.”

As Jungkook placed his hand on the small of Jiha's back, the fearful, choked sob that was held at the back of her throat bubbled out. Her face burned with embarrassment, her thoughts getting the best of her as she prayed Jungkook hadn’t heard her little whimper.

But immediately, he held her wrist, leading her to his secluded office room as she looked down in shame. Closing the door once the two had walked in, Jungkook sat the clearly frazzled woman down, his own body grabbing a chair and sliding it directly in front of her.

Any onlooker would be convinced that Jungkook was Jiha’s older brother, ready to give her a stern talking about something dangerous she had just done. Their postures confirmed it, because Jungkook leant forward halfway to hold Jiha in case her breakdown happened to worsen. Jiha seemed to crawl into a ball, adopting the belief that if she didn’t move, no one could see her. But the stern part of the man knew he needed to know what was going on ASAP, because he prided himself on being the glue that stuck the Park Enterprises together.

And he couldn’t stand it when there was a crack.

Warnings ─ profanity/swearing.

"Well, as much as it pains me to say, seeing as we'll now be co-workers... you've got the job."

Yoongi had given a surprisingly flawless interview, save for a few hiccups that had occurred when Jungkook and Yoongi glared a little too hard at each other. Jungkook wasn't extremely happy about the turn of events, seeing as he realised that his mornings at the company would start to grow a little less perfect with the older male around.

And considering the fact that the personal assistant had expected Yoongi's absence this morning, the tension in the air seemed thick, with Jimin's smile being the only threadbare fibre of hope that stopped both men from strangling each other.

Jungkook’s piercing brown eyes returned to its target, almost certain that if he narrowed his squint any further, a laser beam would erupt out of his pupils, burning a hole through Yoongi’s head. Oh, how he wished that would happen.

However, the latter only snorted.

As if he'd actually choose to work here.

He was only sitting on Jimin's expensive leather couch in his expensive, minimalist office as he felt obliged to. After all, even he was unable to deny that the only reason he wasn't on the streets by now was because of his stupidly generous best friend's tendencies.

But, Yoongi wasn't sure whether he had gotten the job by default – he knew that Jungkook wouldn't let him leave this room without some form of payment for the money he had blown up in his time of being friends with Park Jimin. After all, Jimin had busted his ass in college for the uncountable number of diplomas and degrees he felt he needed to become a worthy CEO.

Yoongi, however, merely sat at the back of the lecture hall, face stuffed in a takeout box or in his elbow, the soft snores from his mouth barely heard by the lecturer at the front.

As the male trudged up the stairs of his apartment building, his heavy combat boots crunched the occasional dry leaf underneath it. Had it not been for the man’s unbelievably gifted thighs, he was sure anybody else would be groaning in pain at the ungodly climb.

The man cursed his dumb decision for living close to the top floor but tried not to delve in his thoughts too much. He would be reminded of his disappointment when he faced the broken elevator sign that still hadn’t been acted on after a week of malfunctioning.

But finally, after minutes of trekking up the stairs, he made his way to his apartment’s floor, and slightly jogged down the corridor until he came face to face with his own apartment.

Relief washed over him as he dug around his pocket, feeling the familiar metal key push against his fingertips before he pulled it out.

Key in lock, push and twist.

As soon as Seokjin had heard of a new crime scene unfolding at the heart of Gangnam, he rushed over to his office.

The primary suspect had been arrested already without a fair trial, possibly to quell the news of the unexpected murders in the picture-perfect neighbourhood. Yet, his co-worker had informed him of the details surrounding the case almost as soon as word had gotten around of the fresh crime in cold blood.

"If the Kim family had a long list of enemies, why apprehend a butler?"

This information has been given to him approximately 45 minutes ago. Now, he sat in his pyjamas, outfit hardly considered professional, as he rubbed the sleep off his heavy eyelids.

The man's appearance currently, did no justice in establishing him as one of Korea's best lawyers. With his typical work attire – straightened black slacks and a crisp white shirt – momentarily abandoned, it seemed as though he had disregarded his self-care too.

Hair ruffled, glasses on and coffee steaming beside him in his plain black mug, he sat at his office desk. His slender fingers worked at the mouse, fingertips now drumming against the glass exterior of his desk as he waited for his computer to log him in. And once he heard the familiar ding sounding against the otherwise empty building, he leant forward in his leather chair expectantly.

your boyfriend was a man of many surprises.

but what you had never expected in a million years was to one day open the front door to find him sporting a rather impulsive - but attractive - eyebrow piercing.

your initial reaction was anything but smooth, gaping like a fish out of water. and seeing you react this way boosted jaebum’s confidence. it made him feel oddly proud, seeing that he could still manage to fluster you after 3 years of a very strong and loving relationship.

but as time went by, hours, days - and eventually one whole week - jaebum noticed that your shock still remained. he would catch you eyeing the piercing subtly, sometimes fixated on the thing. and for the first time since the beginning of your relationship, your cheeks seemed to redden if your boyfriend tried to make eye contact with you, or initiate any form of affection. like he was too intimidating now, or that he looked absolutely ridiculous.

surely, you would have said something by now if it looked horrible? if it was like a pimple just waiting to be popped and poofed off?

and there was no time better than asking you after you got into bed.

Chapter 1: The Case — A co-worker informs Seokjin of the suspicious case of murder in cold blood, that too, of a loving family that nobody would even think to harm. The butler is apprehended, but the lawyer Jin believes that Jimin is innocent until proven guilty. That the true murderer is still out there.

Chapter 2 Drabble: Jungkook’s Thoughts — After coming home from his first day of field work as a police officer, Jungkook is left overwhelmed and honestly a little shaken up. But you, his girlfriend, try to regain his determination to throw the Kim family murderer behind bars.

"Jiha."

"Seokjin."

The air in the room seemed thick enough to slice.

Both sides of the jury shifted in their seats, feeling an immense amount of pressure on their shoulders as the two lawyers ahead of them settled behind their respective desks. But not before giving each other a curt nod and an even more assertive greeting.

Purely out of formality.

As Jiha pushed back into her seat to read the room, her fingers gripped the rejuvenating liquid that was her coffee. Her inky orbs scanned the judge, gaze trailing towards the police team, the Coroner, other alleged affiliations, and finally, the main suspect.

Meanwhile, her opposition, Jin, examined her.

Confident, assured, polished— it was clear that he was up against a fair opponent.

If only they were working for the same side.

After the affluent businessman Kim Taehyung and his family are killed in the dead of the night, the fear of murder in cold blood rises throughout the community. And when Seokjin's co-worker informs him of the family's butler and sole witness to the crime, Park Jimin, being apprehended until further case development, Seokjin adopts the role of a posthumous lawyer to deliver justice on what really happened within those ten fateful, unretrievable minutes.

But his plea in court is challenged by an equally skilled lawyer, Jung Jiha, who is tasked - determined - to prove Jimin as the true murderer of the family.

Amidst the suspicious nature of the case, Jiha and Seokjin have just one month to justify what really happened that night in the Kim mansion.

But the dark, ugly secrets unravelled during the court case may force each lawyer to abandon their perspectives, to question their sanity and reality at the same time. They're up against each other, but they must work together to deliver the truth and only the truth.

Two lawyers, one case.

May the best lawyer succeed.

as the sunlight slowly began to ebb into the room, between the gaps of the curtains like golden ribbons, jungkook rolled over. a groan escaped his recently pierced lips, furrowing his eyebrows before wrapping an arm around your waist.

he had come home last night after two gruelling months of working undercover. being a cop was less than easy, and it seemed like the more he excelled, the more expectations there were of him to perform.

after graduating from police academy almost 3 years ago, jeon jungkook was just a young but strong-minded man, eager to make a dent in the system and to change things for the better. to protect the people he loved, and the people who deserved more than to be fucked over by the system.

and now, after meeting you along the way, after setting his reluctance aside - that he could never be in a relationship and be a good cop - he was content.

his eyes were still closed, partly because he didn’t want to accept the fact that the morning had arrived. he didn’t want to leave you to go to work either, and he certainly didn’t want to wake up, if it meant that the night you two shared mere hours ago was simply a perfect dream.

but alas, reality was beginning to hit him, and he knew that his boss would start to leave him texts if he wasn’t out the door and at the police precinct within 45 minutes for his case briefing.

oh well, five minutes never hurt anyone, right?

The Tumblr writing community is dying.

It’s something I’ve noticed over the past two years of using this site. It was gradual, imperceptible at first, something that most would brush off as a silly concern, or fault Tumblr algorithm for. While it’s true that Tumblr’s engine leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve noticed that even popular blogs have started to dwindle in terms of interaction or motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest two I’ve noticed, experienced myself, and asked fellow writers about is this: (1) content being stolen, and (2) lack of feedback or interaction. I’ve never seen any logical person defend content being stolen, so I want to address point 2 instead.

Lack of feedback and interaction. I’m not saying this on my behalf so much as I’m saying this for friends and smaller blogs who have lost motivation to write. I was looking at my yandere writing blogs list the other day and noticed that a good majority of them no longer write. I usually update the list every few months, and by that point, more and more writers have stopped writing entirely. This isn’t a problem confined solely to the yandere fandom; in fact, there’s less writing blogs in general these days, especially ones that are active. I used to run a very popular BNHA blog with some friends, but that dissolved after our content was stolen and our followers stopped interacting as much. Out of our 8,500 followers, we hardly got 0.015% notes (~128 notes) on an average post. Tumblr is to blame for the lack of eyes seeing our posts, for sure, but that also means that at least 128 people saw one post and didn’t leave a comment or ask. We were considered a big blog; imagine what it’s like on a small blog.

My friend recently made a post that summed this up perfectly:

“I’ve seen people say “Be grateful that people even lurk on your page.” and, while I get the message they’re trying to say, it’s more dismissive and hurtful in my opinion. Like you’re saying, “Oh your writing is mediocre, you should be grateful people even LOOK at it.”

Me personally? I’ve heard the argument that AO3 is a better place to post fanfics, and while that might be true, I’ve had friends experience firsthand the lack of interaction there too. I’ve heard the argument that interacting with some writers is intimidating (me included). I’ve heard that argument that followers might be too shy to interact. I’ve heard the argument that writers should write for themselves and not for views / likes / reblogs / etc, and while that’s ideal, it’s not sustainable for everyone. What works for one writer won’t work for another, but you know what will? Interaction.

That comment or ask that took you 2 seconds to write? We remember it. That reblog with the compliments in the tags? We remember it. Every single ‘named’ anon we get (heart anon, sunflower anon, etc)? We remember them. And the best part is? It’s actually easier to do these things on Tumblr since you have the option to send anonymous asks or make a sideblog specifically for reblogs! Trust me, whether the lack of interaction is the cause of a lack of motivation or what have you, every writer appreciates feedback (don’t be shy to offer some critique or compliments) or even a simple keyboard smash with some emojis. Even sitting down for 5 min a day per week to comment on your favorite writers’ new pieces makes a huge difference. Personally, since Tumblr’s activity feed is beyond terrible and I have over 1,500 posts, I don’t always see new reblogs or comments on my content; asks though? Always see those, can never go wrong with those. If you don’t want to reblog or leave a comment, then you can never go wrong with an anonymous ask.

As my wise friend says: writing is an art, and in order to improve that art, we need other people’s eyes to see what we don’t.

For the sake of every writer (past, present, and future) on this platform, please share this post.

silk sheets — min yoongi (full book) | CHAPTER FIVE: THE INTERVIEW.

Warnings ─ swearing/profanity.

Harsh, unwanted streaks of light entered the dark apartment. Yoongi, the place’s sole inhabitor, grunted, almost forgetting that Jimin had left the curtains open from yesterday’s encounter with his secretary and best friend, Jungkook.

"Park," the older male gritted through his teeth, his veiny hand moving to protect his line of sight from the unnecessarily bright ribbons of light ebbing into his monochromatic living room. His other hand fumbled around the place to find his phone. Just remembering that he had a job interview on the insistence of Jungkook left his mood dull, a sour aftertaste in his mouth at the mere thought of the man's persistent and suck-up attitude towards the CEO.

The relationship between Yoongi and Jungkook had always been somewhat forced.

While opposites apparently always attracted, the pair couldn't deny that the atmosphere formed between the two had always been shadowed by awkwardness and anxiety at their counterpart's personalities. While Yoongi was more laid back and uncaring towards - frankly - a lot of things, Jungkook was cautious and preferred to have things under control. The bunny was neat and trained, the sheep was lazy and indifferent.

But one thing was for sure – the pair loved aggression, violence, hot-headedness. When things didn't go their way, they always acted out on impulse, and maybe that was why no one but the two dared challenge each other.

And perhaps Jungkook – in Yoongi's very biased opinion – was jealous. Why wouldn't he be? Jungkook had been putting in all the physical and mental effort to please Jimin, and yet, who was getting the good apartment? Who was getting the higher pay? Who was getting let off the hook for being too slack?

Min Yoongi.

The heavy, sullen raindrops falling from the dark night sky left recurring shivers along Jiha's spine. Her dinner had been long finished, the remnants of her favourite Chinese dish in the fridge as yet another blanket found its way to wrap around the cold woman's huddled frame. The phone she held illuminated the time of 10:00 PM on the top of her screen as Jiha continued to scroll through her social media boredly.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, however, a soft ding omitting from the speaker of her hand-held device caused her to jolt upwards in panic. Her eyes glazed over the brightly lit screen, features slowly morphing into a squint as she read the name of the person who had just requested to follow her.

miny.xxngi? Who on earth could that be? As far as she was concerned, she hadn't given her username out to any gaming groups recently.

Thinking nothing of it, she pressed the blue button on the juxtaposing white screen, signalling that she had accepted the follow request of whoever miny.xxngi was, her tired mind only left to assume that they were merely a small company interested in the one she worked for.

After all, there was no denying that the woman was a walking advertisement for the Park Enterprises.
