🌟 Halfway There, With a Heart Full of Hope 🌟

This smile you see? It’s real. It’s the smile of someone who’s been through the storm — and found strength in the process. Dialysis isn’t easy, but I’m so grateful for it. Every session is a step forward, a breath of life, a second chance. 💪💛

Today, I’m proud to say I’ve passed the halfway mark on my GoFundMe goal! 🙌 Your kindness and support have carried me this far — and now, I’m asking for one more push to get me all the way. Every donation, every share, every kind word means the world to me.

Dialysis keeps me alive. Your help keeps me going. If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing my GoFundMe today. Let’s finish this journey strong — together. 💖🙏

Black Lilith Moon and the Secrets

Beneath the velvet shroud of night,

the Black Lilith Moon ascends,

a sentinel of shadows,

holding secrets whispered through the stars.

She dances in enigmatic nature,

an eternal waltz of light and dark,

where truth wrestles with silence,

and mysteries writhe like tendrils of smoke.

Her face turned partly away,

she dares you to follow the whispers,

to unlock the tales etched in her crescent curves.

Secrets unveiled, not gifted but earned,

bathed in courage and curiosity's glow.

The trees bow their heads in reverence,

leaves trembling with the weight of her wisdom.

The rivers hum her ancient song,

carving pathways toward understanding,

yet never revealing the whole.

She sees you searching,

your heart alight with questions,

your soul is hungry for meaning.

And though her voice ebbs in twilight,

her silence

It teaches.

Under the Black Lilith Moon,

you find more than answers.

You find your shadow,

wrapped in the beauty of its own enigma.

GoFundMe Update: My Rent Is Paid—Thanks to YOU

I just wanted to share a moment of deep gratitude—because of your support, my rent has been paid this month. 🙏🏽

Attached is the receipt that made me breathe a little easier today. It might just be a piece of paper, but to me, it represents peace of mind, stability, and hope—things I haven’t felt much of lately.

Dialysis is hard. Fighting kidney failure is draining. But knowing I have people standing behind me, whether it’s with donations, shares, or kind words—that’s what’s keeping me going.

From the bottom of my heart: thank you. You didn’t just help me pay rent. You helped me hold on.

With love and deep appreciation, Jocelyn

Mercury Retrograde and the End of the Line

The stars stumble backward, Mercury's dance is a clumsy reel, Spilling words unsaid, rewinding clocks, fracturing connections once sturdy. It feels cruel, doesn’t it?

This cosmic rewind, this swirl of chaos. Much like the body - yours, mine, anyone’s – turning silent in places we once trusted. Kidney failure, they whisper, a diagnosis that feels like the end of the line. A world so full of rivers now runs dry, the current slowed to a trickle, the filtration faltering.

But hear this as you stand at the precipice, heart heavy with thoughts of stars and bodies in revolt. Retrograde doesn’t undo us—it remakes us. The spirals invite reflection, a pause, to understand where the flow broke, to mend the unseen.

And so, with kidneys and constellations, we learn to work with imperfection, to build bridges where there are cracks. A kidney may buckle, but the heart, the spirit, they rise, irrepressible.

This is not the end of the line, nor is it Mercury’s cruel intent. It’s a rhythm, a challenge, a reminder of the growth hidden in moments we curse. The river runs toward healing, the stars will swirl forward again. And you—you are stronger than both.

Hello! I hope you're doing well. Would you be open to me sharing your campaign with some philanthropists? This could help you secure donations faster, with a minimum of $3,000. If you'd like to discuss it privately, feel free to message me!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN A MINIMUM OF $3,000? IS THIS THE MINIMUM I'M CROWDFUNDING FOR OR I PAY YOU $3,000?

Still smiling—barely. Another dialysis session down. 3 times a week, hours at a time, hooked to a machine that keeps me alive while draining everything else—my energy, my strength, and lately… my finances.

I have end-stage renal failure. Disability income helps, but it’s not enough to cover rent, bills, food, and medical costs.

I'm trying to hold on. Truly. But it’s hard.

That’s why I started a GoFundMe, to ask for support while I fight to stay afloat until I can get a transplant.

If you’ve ever felt like life was pushing you past your limits—you’ll understand what this season is like for me.

🙏 If you’re able to help, share, or send a kind word, it means everything. 📲 Link in bio

The Horoscope

At the corner diner

where the vinyl seats crack

and the fluorescent lights flicker

like dying stars,

I spread today's paper beside

my third cup of coffee.

The waitress knows better

than to top it off again—

she's seen me here before,

hunting through newsprint

for answers.

Mercury is in retrograde

(again)

and the astrologer warns of

miscommunication, missed connections,

old flames burning new holes

in forgotten pockets.

I trace the rim of my cup,

watch the dark liquid ripple

like a tiny ocean of possibility.

There are no tea leaves here

to read, no cosmic patterns

in the bitter dregs,

just yesterday's grounds

and tomorrow's promises

swirling together.

My mother used to say

you can't trust a horoscope

that doesn't tell you what you

already know. But she also said

I'd marry young and work in banks,

so what did she know of destiny?

The coffee grows cold.

Outside, a bus sighs to a stop,

and somewhere, planets are dancing

their slow dance across the sky,

indifferent to whether I believe

in their gravity

or not.

from my chapbook, "Astrology of a Fragile Body"

A day in my life… Three times a week, I sit in this chair for hours while a machine does the job my kidneys can’t. Dialysis keeps me alive—but it takes a toll, physically and emotionally.

I have end-stage kidney failure. I’m doing everything I can to survive this and one day get a transplant. But right now, I’m also fighting another battle—the financial one.

Disability income barely covers the essentials. Between rent, food, bills, and medical expenses, I’m falling behind. I started a GoFundMe to ask for help—something I never imagined doing, but I truly need it right now.

Your kindness could keep a roof over my head, the lights on, and help me get through this season until I can heal.
