maybe im a bit late to this conversation but not so fun reminder that it is not okay at all to wish ill/death/bad things upon doubles. its okay to be upset & feel gross and bad about seeing it. those feelings are normal and okay to have! whats not okay is wishing any type of harm to doubles of your f/o, harassing (or even considering harassing) doubles, or posting long, angry hate-filled rants about it publicly where that double could see. thats unhealthy. if a fictional character is taking over your life to an extent that youre harming the other real people around you about it, that is unhealthy. i understand ship is a coping mechanism for a lot of us here, but sometimes coping mechanisms can become extremely unhealthy if not kept in check and can end up hurting us more than helping. its okay to be non-sharing, hell its even okay to feel like this character is your rl partner if need be, but it is not, will not, and never will be okay to be an asshole about it.
and im not stupid, i know some of us here genuinely feel as though our f/os are real to us- i literally experience that myself with cole- and im not here to shit on that. having those feelings is common, it really just depends on how you deal with them.
so, in short: its okay to be non-sharing, its not okay to act like a dick about it.
#if you are having thoughts like that you gotta go. and by that I mean get OFF social media and into a therapist’s office#I’m being genuine. if you’re ruminating on people who share with you so hard you’re wishing for them to die#not healthy. Also my love for Vergil is still the same as it has been! He's still my boyfriend and I love him more than I can put into words. I just struggle to talk about it openly and prefer just showing drawings I've made instead since I'm bad with words.
