Discord Server!

Iโ€™m making a wacky decision, yโ€™all. A couple of wacky decisions, actually.ย

Yes, thatโ€™s right. After being asked about it countless times, Iโ€™ve decided to create a Discord server for my fic. When the idea was first brought up a few years ago, I joked about streaming Minecraft on the server while the rest of yโ€™all discussed theories for Evitative/Redivider/Mutatum.ย 

Iโ€™m gonna lean into that joke - a bit. To kick the server off, this Friday, January 17th, Iโ€™ll be streaming Minecraft on the server while I ramble about Mutatum.ย (Exact time TBA, but plan on late afternoon-early evening Eastern time.)

This rambling will be all over the place, but I wanna talk about where Iโ€™m at mentally with Redivider and some of the unique experiences Iโ€™ve had with this fic along the way. Iโ€™m also planning on doing a Q&A about the ficโ€ฆ where I may or may not answer your questions. To that end, please be aware that there may be spoilers for Mutatum. Iโ€™ll keep them light and Iโ€™ll try to warn you before I spoil anything.ย 

I will NOT be using the stream to announce that I am discontinuing the fic, nor to announce that the next chapters are magically ready to go. I just want to offer up some explanation on what the hell has been happening, whatโ€™s holding me back, and where I wanna go from here.ย 

(Selfishly, I also want to see if Iโ€™m even capable of streaming. I keep getting told that I should try it, so I'm thinking this is a good way to dip my toes in.)

Even if you canโ€™t join for the stream, hoping Iโ€™ll see some folks pop up in the server!

I have a lot of unanswered asks in my inbox. I'm sorry. Most of them are asking me something along the lines of "when I'm continuing" and "if I'm continuing" Redivider.

At this time, the answers are "I don't know" and "yes." IOW, I still plan on finishing this story. However, I am currently being held back by life as well as mental health. When I have the time to write I do still write, but I am not happy with what I write. Please be patient. The next chapter will be a surprise to us all. <3

That said, I'm mostly here to see if I have any clout whatsoever. I have tossed around the idea for a YT series of me being terrible at Minecraft, and this streamer Krtzyy just asked for "creators that are awful at Minecraft." (Disclaimer: I am only aware of who this person is due to Minecraft Championships, and that's the only reason his tweet popped up in my recommendations.) I am almost certainly not the type of creator that this person is asking for, but I tried to use my 1.3 million hits and 54k kudos on Ao3 to get me in. Would you guys help?

If you are so inclined to do a favor for me, go tell them that I would be funny to include in a video of awful Minecrafters. C'mon, I'm fucking hilarious.

Viren vs. Callum

Viren is reaching out like he's reaching for help. There's desperation in his eyes and, even though it's not shown in this gif, he actually sheds a tear as he's turned to stone. As we saw this season (season 4), he doesn't want to do this anymore.

Callum, on the other hand, never takes his eyes off the cube. Unlike Viren who's reaching for help, Callum is reaching for the key. It looks like he doesn't even care that he's being turned to stone. To Callum, the key is more interesting than anything else. It has his undivided attention.
