a little analysis of the small characterizations that are in just this cutscene. they make me ill
Ao3 does not need an algorithm, you're just lazy
Ao3 does not need a 1-5 star rating system, you just want to bring down authors writing for FREE
Ao3 does not need automatic censorship, it is an archive, therefore anything can be posted
Writing or reading about something illegal does not mean the author nor the reader condones it, if that were true, you could never read a story involving anything negative
Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying
Wouldnโt mind an automatic filtering function though. If I donโt want to see explicit stories or other specific tags, I donโt want to have to enter them every time I do a search.
one time I had a dream that I unlocked a secret never-before-discovered achievement in Disco Elysium by squeezing into various nooks and crannies and got a special copotype called โCrevice Cop: seek out and inhabit crevices like some kind of man-spiderโ and I thought yeah!!! man-spider!!! crevice cop!!! this game GETS me!!!
and then I woke up to find that I had fallen partially down into the gap between my partnerโs bed and the wall and was horrifically contorted and in agonizing bodily pain from sleeping in a position only comfortable to a brown recluse

Due to the name "GIMP" being considered quite offensive in some dialects of english, which has been a renewed topic of debate among the wider FOSS community, we are proud to announce that across the next month or so the project will be rebranding!
From now on, GIMP will be known as FAG!
The name stands for "FOSS Art & Graphics"! As our project had no longer been associated with GNU at all for a long while now, we felt it was finally time to sign the divorce papers and get rid of their name tainting ours. However we still wanted to convey that FAG is and always will be Free and Open Source software. After a long session of brainstorming, spending days upon days looking for a name that conveys our values and project well, we finally ended at FAG. We're quite happy with it! What do you guys think? Let us know through comments and reblogs!
