The Blip happens after Bucky and his girls are together. It started out as a regular mission that went sideways.

1st scenario: how would Mama and Abigail react/deal with Bucky being gone.

2nd scenario: how would Mama react/deal with Bucky and Abigail being gone.

3rd scenario: how would Abigail react to seeing her mama disappear and then learn that Bucky is gone too. Bonus: who would take care of Abigail in this instance

4th scenario: Bucky survives the Blip but not his girls….

I can't let my brain go there. 😭

If Abby has to witness you turning to ash in front of her, her little brain will shatter. And when there's no Bucky?? Our little Abby won't recover. She'll end up in an institution.

Of course Steve will want custody of her, but he has no true relationship to her. The government will look towards her paternal family to claim her. And with the government being swamped by misplaced children, Abby will be lost in the foster care system. Abby will withdraw into herself and play out her imaginary life with you and Bucky. She'll lose touch with reality. Even when Steve actually wins custody of her or you return from the Blip, Abby is too far gone. Mentally, she'll never recover.

Abby’s coming to an age where children question and ask everything. I can imagine Abby just annoying her parents and her uncle with every question imaginable.

Abby is ALWAYS talking. It's either, "Mama?" Or "You knows what?" She can easily do this a couple dozen times a day. Sometimes you straight up tell her, " You're driving your Mama nuts." She laughs and thinks you're joking.

Bucky is a little more patient. Every time he hears, " You knows what?" It brings a smile to his face, and he settles in and gets comfortable because he doesn't know how long her rant is going to last.

Steve gets flustered. He wants to fix her problem but sometimes there's no solution & it's just Abby yapping. "Uncle Steve, you knows what?"

"What Abs?"

"I went to scoon & Ms Grace only smiled at me free times, holding up 3 fingers. "Dids you make her mad? What if you made her mad and she don't wikes me no more? And it's all your fault."

"What?! Did she say she was mad at me??"

Abby looks at Steve with big eyes, "She mad at you? What you dids?"

Frowning, "I didn't do anything...you said.." Big eyes just blink up at him. "How many times does she normally smile at you?"

Abby shrugs, "I no knows. But today it was free ." Steve leans his head back against the couch. "You knows what, Uncle Steve?" Steve closes his eyes & silently shakes his head. "Is yous sick? Stay rights here's. I takes care of you!" She taps his chest & runs off to get doctor's kit from her room.
