Hello! I'm yoyo and I love dogs. Unfortunately, I do not currently have any. So I'll be using this blog to hoard training advice/techniques and to live vicariously through pictures and videos of other people's dogs. I am obsessed with Dutch Shepherds and Curly Coated Retrievers first and foremost, but all dogs are good dogs.

Hey y’all, we went for Morgan’s second consult today and oh boy. They can definitely get her in sooner and care would be a bit more extensive there which makes me feel better. The only issue is we were denied the grant there because this is a non-emergent surgery(they don’t have the funds after covering care for animals during hurricane Helene) so we are left floundering. They want $6100 max ($5400 minimum) and we have heard NOTHING from any grants other grant we have applied to.
Morgan literally saves my life everyday and all I want is to provide her with the best care I can. I’m working my butt off (I have a job again) and I’m applying to everywhere I can for grants
If y’all could please please share/donate to our GoFundMe that would be absolutely the best thing. I’m updating it as often as possible with updates from the vet appointments.

I just got fired from my job due to my health and now I’m even more stressed about getting this surgery done for Morgan. Please consider donating, liking, commenting, reblogging. genuinely puzzled by people who do not enjoy training their animals and/or think it’s ‘mean’ to have trained them to respect boundaries and rules. like yeah your dog would probably prefer to jump up on the table and eat your food but that’s how you get Poisoning bro. sometimes humans do know what’s best even if that’s mildly annoying to your dog
and also like…training is enrichment. for the most part animals LIKE being trained…you know how exciting it is to learn a new skill like crocheting/cooking/whatever new hobby you picked up? for your dog that’s the same as learning Sit. you’re giving them something to do!! that’s not cruel!

its still a long way out, but in preparation for dog I absorb as much research as I possibly can at all times and what I'm still baffled by is food. There is so many different brands types diets certifications kibble wet gently cooked raw allergens/sensitivities but the one thing I have learned for sure is to not go on reddit. while helpful for various other questions the absolute polarization that comes with discussing dog food is something I have never witnessed before even on that site.
