The show stated that when characters die, they just kinda chill inside a field and feed bunnies. So, I’ve associated bunnies with death completely. Eclipse has had a reoccurring fear of death, and now it has become worse than ever as we see with his…bajillions of backups. He’s too afraid to die again. Earth also has a rabbit named Daisy…so I was like “heh…the REAL reason Eclipse doesn’t see Earth anymore is because of the bunny sending him into a literal heart attack like death was coming.”
BUT ANOTHER REASON THIS MAKES THIS SUCH A PERFECT SYMBOL is because of MICHEAL AFTON who plays as the RABBIT who kills children, defies death, and, yk, “always comes back”. Micheal Afton along with his spring-bonnie/trap/etc is a perfect origin as to why a rabbit symbolizes death.
