The downside of Meat in the Machine having taken so long to write is that it's packed chock-full of ideas and themes bc I am a magpie and now every time I start writing a conversation between the three current main characters they start having Big Thoughts about life the universe and everything.

Sometimes a family is a mech, a pilot, two birds, three unhatched eggs, and the grief.

I finished our stuffed toy child. They do not have a name yet and are quite hefty. Im lov them. From this pattern.

Our child is stuffed now lmao. Still missing horns and wings, but we're nearly there.

Our scrap fabric stuffed toy child ate like ten pieces of scrap fabric, two waistbands, two bra cups, and a whole pair of boxers, all cabbaged up, and is still hungy.

WIP. I'm just pleased that all the toes seem to be facing forwards.

I made hair extensions to braid into my hair because it isn't currently long enough to do the style I want for an event coming up. The fibres are pulled out of a long scrap of linen from a length I bought a few years ago, and it is wild how close of a match they are, leaving aside their slight crimp from having been woven. Sometimes I look over and think I'm seeing a hank of my hair.
