I'm an admin in one of the Centre-T chats. I can't speak for CT itself, since i'm essentially just a volunteer, but i guess i can offer some perspective.

At this point Putin has already signed the bill and you can't legally transition in literally any way. Trans folks also can't adopt kids, drive, marry people with the same agab, since same-sex marriage isn't a thing and you can't legally change gender, and a bunch of other stuff. It also legalizes surgery on intersex children.

I'm pretty sure it's just the start of repressions, since it's the second major anti-LGBTQ+ law after the start of the war in Ukraine, and I believe the whole thing to be motivated by failures in war. This is essentially just a piece in a propaganda narrative. And I don't think it'll ever change under the current government and Putin's rule.

Centre-T has already received a foreign agent status (considered a medal of honor by the opposition, it's mostly just a really annoying garbage. don't look into the name too much, it's propaganda too, that status can be given to literally anyone who even got as much as a 1$ donation from outside of Russia). КилькоТ-Действие actually was a Т-Действие before, but rebranded to avoid foreign agent status. I don't know much about other organisations, i like my doom and gloom to be rationed in an (almost) healthy manner.

So yeah, please share all of this mess, and donate if you can! Oppression is one thing, but the fact that you just can't transition at all is a whole new level. It doesn't really leaves much options, and all of them suck.

I think the funniest thing I learnt today was that antis DID try to make their own ao3, but the restrictions made it impossible to do anything.

Nobody on the site could agree on one solid concept of "moral" and "immoral", so it spawned a plethora of huge arguments and the site had to be shut down.

And the tagline was "good fiction for good people."

Hey OP, what was the website called? Because I searched on that tagline and the only thing I found was this post.

Unfortunately I legitimately can no longer find it, most likely because it was taken down. It's good to note that this was something I heard through my friends, so I'll most likely pester them again about it.

I've been trying to ask around, and will make a post once I locate an archived version of the site, or even its name.

Update: I found YET ANOTHER PERSON who is aware of the site's existence, but also can't find its name. All we know is it's a site that claimed to host "pure fiction only". It's like an urban legend, so many people have heard of it...nobody knows it....
