Just like the way it opens. The sirens already blurring. The window. The moving to her eyes. Fin calling her and her telling him what's happening. The 10-13 and her getting there. Seeing the vic and the how she immediately recognizes Kathy.

It's been ten years. TEN YEARS and she immediately sees this woman injured AFTER what happened, in rain, on a stretcher, through EMTs and goes "Kathy" with not just surprise but worry and pain in her voice.

Then then she hears it. And she turns. And the WAY they look at each other. The way they move to each other. The way you can tell they want to reach out but the shock of everything in this moment is hitting both of them so hard and then bam have the credits song.

THIS OPENING WILL FOREVER HIT ME EVERY TIME I WATCH IT BECAUSE IT HITS HARD (also like "is it you? Have my prayers been answered? Is it really you standing there" totally fits so well omg)

"Congratulations on your award" mere moments later "and you never know who may show up"

FIN GET BACK HERE AND TELL US PRECISELY WHEN YOU AND ELLIOT STABLER GOT BACK INTO CONTACT

No really I think it's hilarious and will forever joke that Fin started texting the old squad group chat after Cragen retired pulling a "yall left me with unhinged Benson WTF" (proceeds to adjust the chat so Olivia isn't in it and he can rant to the others when she does certain things)

Fin: "Update: I'm not Liv's favorite"

Cragen: "we all knew that, he left"

Munch: "you really thought it was you?"

Fin: "dude it's not even him today. She had the chance to call me for backup and picked someone else"

Elliot: "You told me you had her backside better than I did"

Everyone: "HE LIVES"

Fin: "Update: I'm not Liv's most trusted"

"Update: We have some perp with a shotgun and a kid in an apartment .... wanna know what Liv did?"

Munch "Fin, aren't you here second in command, just stop her"

Fin: "oh is that how it worked with you and Cragen? You just stopped her? Sure let me just drag her back out the apartment she just walked into"

Fin: "Update: she almost lost her job"

Cragen: "I'm to retired for this shit"

Munch: "I bet it's some 1PP cover up"

Fin: "Actually she went rogue and I helped her but it's cool I blackmailed the chief"

Cragen: "Can I retire from retirement?"

Just finished the Moldovan episode, and given they did some past Bwonx SVU eps I think it would have been amazing if they'd been able to get a detective from one of those ones vs new face "yeah been with them 20 years" thing. Like, we've seen Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, and I think even Staten Island (I know Carisi comes from there as well so least mentions it).

So, like, even if not one of the Bronx past ones maybe someone from one of the other eps and a transfered to Bronx (similar to Carisi moved between the various ones). It's the mindset I'm going with for Moldovan, thus why not previously seen (or actions caught up on as well even - easier to keep doing it if bouncing between squads most likely).

Anyways, now on the call back to old cases eps. The Aneeka Coleman and her sister case, I really wish Olivia had gotten to handle that directly vs sitting at home with Noah. I mean, I like the delegating at home thing but yeah. Then also the Jimmy Gunn parole hearing.

While I do like seeing unseen cases from the past (as these gives us and like 99% of these return cases are) I really wish they'd have made one of these from an episode. I get there was likely issues in regards to that (pay writers, actor returns, copywrite possibly, etc etc) but yeah.

It just be really nice to get a follow up with some of the cases/eps we saw. Like, say the one with Fin and the addict who had the finger in her purse - follow up on that and how she's doing be amazing. Or the boy Nathan Phelps who Olivia got really attached to and who accepted her back but he ended up on foster care (because why ever would we let Olivia have a family early SVU) .... bring him back, maybe he's a lawyer now and pulls a "oh, well the way that Judge and Miss Novak and Miss Devere and even you Olivia all helped me made me want to get into law"

(The angsty sad trauma stuff too sure but just give good stuff to counter it)

I am almost at "Prodigal Son" which means I am going to yet again be haunted by the fact a certain scene is perfect for the song "Would you fall in love with me again" from EPIC. I mean, just the way the song has the whole start of "is it you?" And then goes into how they aren't the same person and a doubt that they could even be loved by the other still. Like yeah husband/wife song but I don't care, I'll ignore that bit.

A victim: "If I try to go up against him his old boy network will destroy me"

Olivia: I have been personally challenged now to go up against this man and his network myself. To find any and all individuals he harmed and bring forth their stories. *pulls out the time to destroy an institution gear*

The fact it's dealing with Hudson University too is all the better. I will forever love Olivia and her constant "oh no time to destroy another powerful person/institution" full speed ahead moments.

I love SVU talking trash about defense attorneys then turning around and making the defense attorney do something decent. It's almost like they want us to know they are just doing their jobs and the majority of them are just human and decent and normal people like us.

(I still trash talk them during the trial phase though)

Watching S22 and how Phoebe and Fin are suddenly together .... makes me remember that those eps we didn't get for S21 due to COVID may have likely had a scene leading to that (more than his past asking her out failure attempt). Plus, we were supposed to get Kathy and Dickie as well. Then I also suspect that some other plot points (maybe Simon) would have been followed up on. The finale we got is good, but I think the intent was likely gonna be more of "past returning" concept

Thus we can have Phoebe in an ep, Simon's return retouched, and then suddenly the Stabler's reappear. Ultimately leading unto the next season and the return of Elliot and such. I really wish we could get an idea of what those eps were gonna be because I do like the idea of at least those things being touched. (That being said if anyone got any sources to info on them I'm all for them)

I am now on S22 which means L&O:OC joins the watch soon ..... also I am having a lot of thoughts about different things lol

(I may actually be pushing the line a bit to finish the watch by the dropping of new OC season but will see)

Anyways, still figuring out the discord so if anyone has ideas on what they'd like to see. Obviously shipping channels and fanwork area. But don't want to finalize and open unless i have a decent start up server.

I BLAME TUMBLR FOR CONSTANTLY GIVING ME SVU STUFF RECENTLY! SPECIFICALLY THE "IF SOMEONE TRIED TO KILL YOU" GIF AGAIN BECAUSE I JUMPED TO THE "ID GIVE YOU A KIDNEY" ONE AND THEN IMMEDIATELY TO THE OC TRAILER

Like I don't think they'd do organ donation as that likely impact job for either of them but can you imagine the scene where they call back to that? Where he is bad enough and the doctors are talking about it being a potential so "we are getting his information for donation-" and Olivia is just right there already and cuts in all "We match. What do you need?" The Doctors voice continuing as Bernie is looking at her, whoever else may be present. THE FADE OF SOUND AS THE CAMERA SETTLES ON OLIVIA'S FACE

(Maybe Elliot asleep on the bed in the background unaware of what she just said but also like the way when he wakes he could have a moment of Bernie smacking his shoulder gently in a "don't scare your mama like that. And how dare you put your partner through what you just did")

My brain giving me all the angst I guess

The best fun I have when watching SVU is .... cursing out the perps during the eps. Flip off the TV. Tell them to rot. Tell them to die. There have been a few poar S12 that I look at and go "you are lucky Stabler's gone".

I watch crime/legal dramas and I do not do this with all of them. It's nearly every ep of SVU that gets me dragging the perps. If you aren't doing this yet, I highly recommend, it's so much fun.

Not Chief Garland's daughter dishing the gossip he shares at home right before his wife tries to set Olivia up.

The fact in another episode he referenced Dodds being sent to Staten Island just makes me think he and Dodds actually message each other back and forth. Just all:

Dodds: how's Liv holding up?

Garland: You didn't tell me she was unhinged

Dodds: oh, yeah, she gonna go at EVERYONE

Garland: And you enforced a promotion for your exhale?

Dodds: oh like you don't go home telling your wife you got the best Captain working for you

Garland: that's besides the point.... though she did try to set her up

Dodds: What? But I had tickets to a game I wanted to try to convince Liv to go to

Garland: you aren't her chief anymore those excuses don't work

Dodds: shut up

ITS SO UNFAIR THAT S18 DID WHAT IT DID WITH TUCKSON FOR THE REASON IT DOES ONLY FOR S21 TO HAVE THIS EPISODE.

No really, I am a Bensler shipper. I love EO, it was my first SVU ship and my main ship for this show. But I adore Tuckson as well. And S18 derailed it because "retirement" and we don't even see the retirement till S21? That is something those two easily could have talked and handled, processed through, and carried on.

They could have become closer as a result of that moment vs falling apart.
