All kinds of transformative works are welcome at K/S Spring Fever
Here's a quick reminder that K/S Spring Fever is all about the diversity of fanworks and welcomes all kinds of creations: fic, traditional art, digital art, crafts, fibre and 3D art, cake art, poetry, vids, podfic, drabbles, meta, etc. Any prompt, no matter how it is phrased, can be used as inspiration for all kinds of fannish creations, in any medium. Yes, most people phrase their prompt for fic, but if it inspired you to make a K/S cake for it or explore the prompt via cross-stitching – go for it! As long as you respect the DNWs of the prompt, it is fine!
This being said: You cannot DNW a fannish medium in the prompts; we understand, however, if you need to include a preference in your prompt description; e.g. if you cannot enjoy vids or art due to visual impairment or migraine, please let us know in the description. While this is not a one-on-one gift exchange, and therefore this is not about tailoring a gift for you, it is of course important to us to see prompts being filled in a way that the prompter can enjoy. Stating a preference or limitation (ideally phrased in a positive way, not just "I hate x") will hopefully attract creators who can make something enjoyable for you.
However, if someone still feels inspired by your prompt to make that vid, then they can still do it, though, for the wider audience of K/S Spring Fever. (TWs appreciated, when there's flashing lights etc.)
For the same reason we encourage fanworks in languages other than English. I might not be able to read the Swedish K/S fic that my prompt inspired, but someone else will.
There are very little limitations in our rules concerning the kinds of fanworks you can submit.
One is: no banner or icon art, unless it accompanies a work of fiction. We love banner and icon art, too, but the work must be sufficiently transformative; if it is more on the side of screencap-with-a-caption-and-filter, then it is not eligible (unless it is part of a fic post, for example, or a podfic cover). Same for gifs. If the banner/icon/gif art is an actual manip or fanart, then it can certainly go into the collection. In case of doubt, just ask us.
The other, really big No is AI-generated "works". Just... don't.
Happy prompting and creating! We cheer you on!!
