Hi there. The 3 year anniversary of this au passed on March 31.

The reason why this blog hasn’t been updating is because I am working on a series rewrite! I made this au when I was 13 and a lot if the lore here is outdated/reconned and I need to fix it….a lot of it. This au is not trashed nor am I abandoning it.

I genuinely love the 12 Lost Cookies and Kylie and I plan to do more with them in the future!

This au had a lot of plot holes, so i’m closing them and doing a full reboot!

Thank you for staying with this little dumb au for the years.

YOU CAN CALL SOMEONE OUT AND STILL BE CIVIL.

Normalize calling people out for their garbage behavior in a civil way.

Kevin in my human AU once ordered a mini belt sander from a catalog for Victor’s birthday. The package came and Kevin wrapped it up without opening it and gave it to Victor.

Turns out that Kevin had bought the sanding BELTS, not the actual MACHINE. The machine did not come with the sanding belts. Kevin only found out his mistake when Victor opened it.

Kevin was wondering why the box was so light though…

The best way to describe my OC Casey would be that he is like a bucket of paint, if not properly contained, he will get into just about anything and everything that isn’t tied down. There is no such thing as Casey proof, and there is probably never going to be. He is the type of character who if told not to poke the wet tent, he will poke it to see what happens out of shear curiosity.

One winter after hearing a story from the other engines about a guy who fell on the frozen track and got his face stuck to it, resulting in the fire department coming out to pull him off. Casey somehow was able to get his tongue frozen to a piece of metal that was sticking out from a train of scrap metal. His engineer, Hadley had to dump her precious coffee onto his tongue to defrost it. Fortunately for Casey, she was to bewildered to even be upset by this.

Another time while going down the deadhorse branchline, he was stopped by a hobo waving a red handkerchief. The guy said that his wife is sick and in the hospital in the next town over but he couldn’t afford a ticket to see her. So Casey feeling bad for the guy let him ride in one of the box cars and took him to the end of the branchline where he headed off on foot. and wished him good luck.

Turns out the guy just robbed the local grocery store and Casey unknowingly helped him flee town.

Dive Olly Dive April Fools’ headcannons:

  • Olly: Pulls an average prank, gets a decent amount of laughs.
  • Beth: Either doesn’t get involved or has nice little jokes.
  • Skid: Goes completely 100% overboard with massive pranks all around. Diver Doug has had to talk to him about this multiple times, but he never listens.
  • Brandt: Reluctantly dragged in to Skid’s schemes, and can see that they’re going to backfire from a mile away.
  • Diver Doug: Somehow, being Fool’d by him always involves a nice treat for the subs.
  • UMA: Can appreciate a little joke, but gets mad if it messes up her work.
  • Ranger: Tries to tell jokes that are even worse than his usual stock. Once, when the day happened to coincide with a family reunion, he and his various foreign cousins swapped their headgear and pretended to be each other. No one noticed for the whole day.
  • Shankley: Can’t think of a prank, but once told the perpetually-unseen dock workers a modified version of the events of “The Albatross” that turns the whole ad jingle sea shanty into his intentional prank that he definitely did that day.
  • Sub D: Olly THINKS his pranks are legendary. What he actually does on April 1st is pretty much irrelevant to this belief.
  • Dirk: Uses the day as an excuse to be even more of a jerk than usual. Sparked a massive prank war between himself and the SURF subs.

  • Soak (@kylievershion’s OC): Even if he has no plans to participate in April Fools' Day, events will transpire to lead to him pulling an incredibly absurd prank by complete accident.
