Hello, hello!!! I got very creative 3 AM last night and wanted to share my take on the human ghost-hunter!Danny AU (is that what it’s called?).
Anyways, it’s on of those where Danny does turn on the portal, but it was plugged off from the outside, so it doesn’t fully turn on while he is still inside. He just gets mildly zapped (still gets the Lichtenberg scar tho I love the idea so much ahhhh) and the only ghostly attributes he gets are the ghost sense, super human reflexes, strength and agility (the basic package, if you will lol).
He later plugs on the portal and actually gets it to work.
As in canon, only Sam and Tucker know he made the portal work (Danny tells his parents he got the scar from the their microwave or smth cause he doesn’t want to get in trouble for messing in the lab)
For the most part he feels fine after the accident and tries to live normally until the ghosts start terrorising Amity park and he blames himself for it.
As a way of taking responsibility for his actions, he asks his parents to teach him ghost hunting and uses his new quasi-powers to try to defend the city. So sorta like Phantom but he doesn’t keep his identity a secret (openly helps out his parents) and he is way more stressed about it i.e. he doesn’t get to fly around and exchange corny one-liners :(
Instead, since he spends so much time with his parents (his own grudge aside), he ends up developing a much more angry and brutal mindset towards ghost hunting. Sorta very close to Maddie’s if not worse (yikes!)
He also wears his hazmat suit all the time, even at school, cause he wants to be ready to fight all the time.
Anyways, I feel like I am blabbing so I’ll end it here. I’ll probably be adding more details later but that’s it for now.
