So, is that trans sticker on Laika's glove representative of her being trans, one of her dads being trans, or does she just support trans people?
laika is a trans girl! the trans flag on her glove is a patch.
while the glove belonged to her dad, yue helped her sew it on years later when she began wearing it. he wanted her to have a way to feel confident in herself.
it is an old embroidered patch he got in college.
so technically - yes to all three!
for the 3 year anniversary of the laika's comet project, i wanted to share a link to my ko-fi! here you're able to read ahead the entire month's worth of finished pages, as well as the next two months worth of sketched pages as a member (as well as some other exclusive art thingies and development notes as theyre done.)
this comic would not be able to exist without the support of its kofi members. while i like to make my work free to read for everyone, because i believe art should be accessible to everyone. however, i also want to thank everyone who has helped me make it possible to do so.
there will be some more fun things coming out this month to celebrate the anniversary, and im so excited for the beginning of chapter 3 in two days!
If I may, I just want to say despite being a cis man, Laika is the first chubby character that genuinely made me feel better about being a very chubby person. I don't really know why she makes me feel better about being chubby, but I want to thank you anyways.

Hi! I tried my hand at translating your comic in French (I got an English license)! I had lots of fun doing it, noticing little details that I didn't when just reading, and I also wanted to introduce it to my little sister who doesn't read in English and so far she seems to really like it! What gave me the most difficulty tbh is translating Mars' pronouns since our language uses mainly female and male pronouns but I did my best! I was also wondering if it was possible to post it somewhere to spread it...? Anyways, love your comic and your streams! ^^<3

also - as for translating mars' pronouns, this is a question that comes up often, so dont worry! ive created a sort of ladder tier system for it...
if a non-gendered pronoun exists within a language, please use that pronoun for mars!
if a non-gendered pronoun does not exist, please use mars' name or avoid using pronouns at all (similar to how menya is just 'menya'!)
