#writing ref#oc stuff#this pain/process is actually my favorite part of writing#coming up with characters#psychoanalyzing them#coming up with a backstory#and then deciding who would they need around them#in order for them to be challenged or loved or supported or absolutely rolled over#where i have the most trouble is in writing the actual story#there's a failure to launch somewhere despite all my ideas and weaving i do#i am getting better#but i want to actually follow through and have a book one day
