Hello everyone, here is an Important Life Announcement.
Last week, without warning, @lazytechsupport and I lost our home. The flat directly next door had a devastating fire and is now nothing but ash, our building is blocked off and declared an unsafe health hazard full of smoke, ash and asbestos, and we are homeless until it is declared habitable again, possibly in six months. My partner and I are safe, but we are bereft, frightened, and obviously unsure about the future.
Luckily we were out when it happened, weโve been told there are still salvageable items from most apartments, but we wonโt even know what they might be or what our flat looks like for at least another month, when we may be let back in - once - briefly to recover some possessions. Weโre currently living in a small hotel and trying not to despair too much. We have our laptops, a few changes of clothes, and most importantly each other. Weโre alive. Weโre okay. Itโs going be okay. ๐
