I’ve commented on every chapter of your wonderful fic and have generally been a huge stalker nerd about it, but please allow me to nerd out more with a few questions! 😆 When Jake introduces himself to Bradley, Bradley was like, I know who you are 🙄 I know they’d been on like Teams calls or whatever. Did Bradley already know he was gonna be dealing with a hot-ass guy? Or did he really not watch Drive to Survive? Because I’m doubtful 😆 He later says he wanted him from “day one” and I’m assuming it was being confronted by this gorgeous, bitchy man??
Does Jake ever discuss with Bradley how much it bothered him that Bradley was threatening to replace him?

Bradley definitely knew who Jake was/what he looked like, but he had not seen Drive to Survive. (Though after Paige mentioned the whole shirtless running scene he defffinitely did some googling and stumbled across the Jake fancams on tiktok.) He was annoyed by him for sure, especially at the very beginning, but ALSO of course thought he was hot, and in his mind a lot of their early arguing was him trying to flirt (poorly). Like this part:
While the two of them argue over the legality of one of her shots, Bradshaw wanders over closer and nods at Jake. “So where’d the Spanish come from? You fluent?” Jake sips from his beer and gives Bradshaw a long look over the rim. “Lots of questions about me tonight.” Bradshaw shrugs. “Is that a crime? Still deciding whether I’m going to keep you around, might as well get to know you.” His smile is miles away from innocent, and Jake rolls his eyes. This is getting old. He’s not interested in being Bradshaw’s friend, especially if he keeps lording this power over him. They aren’t on equal footing, Jake is well-aware. What game is he trying to play?
was him trying to flirt lol. I do imagine they eventually talked a little about the replacement thing, which understandably upset Jake but for Bradley was in line with his general tendency to downplay the impacts of their power dynamic (at least at work).
