ok ok so (also all of these involve remus because i need to take a bite out of him carnally and also spiritually. also, because my mind is a wonderful place, these all take place in the same non-existent au i've apparently been building in my head)

  • remus identifies as gay but doesn't have a genital preference and has slept with women over the years
  • unlike james, who technically tops in his relationships but mainly just lies there and makes the most pathetic noises known to mankind, remus is 100% a quiet service top
  • he keeps his clothes on when possible, not in an insecurity way (although it started off like that) but more as a form of subtle dominance over his fully naked partner
  • during foreplay, remus is big on dirty talk (and both sirius and james were SHOCKED to figure out that their quiet bookish friend was actually really good at dirty talk)
  • when he's actually having sex, remus is pretty quiet, just breathy gasps and the half-growled 'fuck' when he bottoms out
  • unless it's wolfstar. they talk the entire time, not only because it's healthy communication but also because knowing what your partner is thinking during sex can be really attractive. it took a long time for both of them to get to the point where they felt comfortable expressing their desires like that though
  • remus is definitely down for platonic sex with his friends (especially lily and regulus, but james happened once or twice during college when James was questioning his sexuality) (james, they found out, doesn't have a gag reflex and that their faces when they found that out were so comical to one another that they immediately had to stop and double over laughing)

  • remus def has the pretty woman 'no kissing on the lips' rule for anyone but romantic partners (mary was his first everything, but sirius is the second person he ever really kissed outside of teenage party games or brief kisses with girlfriends that lasted two weeks)
  • if we're talking remus x lily: that shit is fully platonic, but it's also great for them both. he ate her out once, because she had never had that done before, but aside from that they're mostly into non-sexual bdsm
  • remus struggles with both giving up and taking control and Lily, one of the people he trusts most, is the only person he'll fully relinquish his control to (and Sirius is the only person where Remus isn't scared to take control, because he knows Sirius likes it and wouldn't put up with anything he wasn't into)
  • lily's someone who has always been called too controlling, assertive, bossy, etc and for a while it really affected her sense of self; being with remus allows her to feel empowered in her leadership, sexuality, and body in a way that she's always struggled to do

  • I think that while regulus and barty had most of their firsts together during late highschool, remus was the one who took regulus' virginity (and as much as they both enjoyed their few times together, they will take that fact to their graves)

however just to provide a different perspective: as a trans person, i do enjoy the smut fics where trans characters are oversexualised and reduced down to their biology, because that's my personal preference based on what i'm into both irl and fictionally. even so, as someone who does both write and enjoy those stories: those characters still shouldn't be oversexualised (outside of smut fics) the way they so frequently are. the problem imo isn't about jegulus or trans reg smut fics as a whole, it's moreso about the porny 'pocket pussy' characterisation of regulus (and trans sirius sometimes) spilling over into the mainstream plot and character-driven fics.
