Dungeon Desserts is what I’m officially naming my DungeonMeshi postcanon series of fan comics (because DungeonMeshi was a good damn meal and every good meal should be followed by something sweet).

I’m posting this while I’m working on my 3rd chapter to make reading everything in order easier. I’ll edit the existing chapters to link back to this so that the whole experience is clearer.

This series is intended for those who have read the entire manga and all the extra stuff, specifically the updated adventures bible content and daydream hour. I encourage you to read it legally. I know a lot of it’s not available for sale in English as of writing this. That sure sucks, huh?

It’s also specifically a LaiosxMarcille comic. I love Farcille too, but I’m writing what I feels in line with the canon in my mind personally. However, DM has shipping potential in droves and I just wanna put out there that this is NOT a safe space for homophobia/queerphobia against ships that conflict with this one.

I got frustrated and needed a small break from my comic. Sorry it’s taken me so long since posting a drawing. Nazis are taking over my country and I’ve been off of my adhd meds for like 2 months. Anyway, here’s a quick contribution to the class war.

Also I’m agoraphobic on top of a few other mental disorders and I live in a red state. But I’m gonna try to get more involved in my local community. I’m so scared. But to my fellow antifascist Americans, if I do it, will you do it with me?

I feel like due to telepathy, Anya would be one of those kids that knows about Santa Claus almost instantly, but lies about it to Loid and Yor out of a spy-like dedication to preserving the yule-tide vibes of childhood wonder. I also feel like she’d keep the lie going way too long (like into her teens,) to the point that Loid would KNOW she’s lying but he’d play along because it’s a fun little game for them and he respects the hustle.

As for Yor, she’d commit to the bit as long as Anya says she believes. Anya could be in her thirties and she’ll still write “from: santa” on half the gifts she gets her and break into her house to sneak them under the tree.

(Also I know Christmas/yule is different in different countries. I like to imagine my favorite characters celebrating holidays the way I celebrate them, and the American non-religious version of Christmas is what I know.)

I was craving ants on a log (celery, peanut butter, & raisins), but I’m allergic to celery now so I used zucchini spears instead. It’s decent. Good texture.

But I also prefer flat soda, soggy cereal, cold chow mein, and sometimes wonder about eating actual ants. So I’m probably not a trustworthy authority.

I like to think ants would be the texture of nerds and kinda flavorless. I know they wouldn’t be. But I want them to be. I don’t think I’ll try it. I don’t really enjoy going outside often enough. Too many bad textures.

It’s 6 in the morning on a Sunday. None of my friends are awake so I’m telling tumblr.

(Damian talking to Jeeves on the phone)

Damian: *panicked whispering* A-a-and and then I had to hold her hand! And even though my hands were all sweaty and girls have cooties, I didn’t want to disgrace the Desmond name so I did it anyway! And then-

Jeeves: *listening intently*

Melinda: *shamelessly eavesdropping on the Desmond home phone*

Sylvia: *listening to Wise’s recording of the call, taking notes, and feeling old because she hasn’t written the word “cooties” in decades*

I already had this idea on the to do list but I bumped it up when I read the newest chapter. The implication that Damian told Jeeves about the dance and worried about him blabbing suggests that this is one of the few people in his life that he can be a emotionally honest with. And I think that’s so sweet. I bet he still denied his crush, but Jeeves doesn’t directly question that out loud, so Damian doesn’t have to go to the usual extreme lengths to prove it.

I was gonna do this a lot simpler so I could color it without taking a billion years, but then I got carried away with the line art. Also I forgot to flip the image during the sketching process. I did it now that I’m finished, and you know what? What my art looks like in the mirror dimension is simply none of my business. Every time I expect it to look good and every time I’m severely humbled. Too late now though. Lol.
