I'm a werewolf and the thing. I used to identify solely as otherkin however as my identity has aged, I don’t think I was ever human and otherkin is more of a semi-comfortable umbrella for that. I now just go by what I am, or if needs must nonhuman or ex-human.

we were sitting on a brittle plastic bench in these harsh fluorescent lights at too early in the day, i felt my arteries pound through a wave of aggravation and anxiety, and then i felt her card her fingers through my fur. pushing hackles down. the ghost of dog flesh settling like wet clay from the projection. her hands felt manicured, i could feel the muscle twitch of my ears flicking back. everything was still for a breath or two. i could feel my body tangle back into shape.

it was lovely, i love my sysmates.
