Munakata needs a hug. Fushimi's the one to give it to him because no one else notices that the Blue King needs one. :(

I’m just imagining Fushimi having this idle thought that Munakataneeds a hug and then immediately refusing it, like he’s not huggingthe Captain there’s no way. But he can’t stop thinking that Munakatalooks awfully down lately, like maybe this is post-ROK and Munakata’spowers have almost faded away even though everyone else’s are stillonly slightly lessened. On top of that it’s nearly the anniversary ofMikoto’s death and Munakata just seems to be very quiet andintrospective lately, locking himself in his office for long hoursdoing his puzzles and not really talking to anyone. No one’s reallynoticed, there’s been an uptick in Strain activity recently and somost of the squad is busy enough that they don’t even realizeMunakata’s being more lonesome than usual. Fushimi is still doing hisnormal solo missions and coming back to the office to report toMunakata, because he’s the one doing the majority of the reports henotices more than anybody else that Munakata seems distracted and notreally listening whenever Fushimi talks to him. Fushimi feels likethere’s this sadness in Munakata’s eyes that makes him oddlyuncomfortable, not sure how to deal with it.

So then maybe he starts thinking of ways to cheer Munakata up,telling himself that this is more because it’s annoying to seeCaptain gloomy more than anything else. He ends up asking a few ofthe alphabet boys, like trying to ask without asking how somebodycheers up a person who is isolating themselves. Hidaka gives him acheerful ‘well, you could always give them a hug!’ and Fushimi isimmediately like never no way. Except now he can’t stop thinkingabout it, that Captain just needs a hug. He’s still adamant though,he’s not hugging Munakata that’s gross yuck hugs touching otherhumans ick. But then he goes to deliver another report and Munakata’sjust staring out the window looking distracted as he talks andfinally Fushimi’s like ‘Sir.’ Munakata’s all 'yes, Fushimi-kun?’ andFushimi proceeds to step forward and give Munakata the most awkwardhug ever. Munakata is momentarily surprised and then I think he’d bereally touched, that Fushimi of all people gave him such a nice hugto cheer him up. (Of course after this Munakata thinks he and Fushimishould have friendly bonding hugs all the time and Fushimi isimmediately like 'no thanks’ and disavows ever having hugged Munakatain the first place even as he blushes a bit every time it’smentioned.)
