Lysistrata is an ancient Greek comedy by Aristophanes, originally performed in classical Athens in 411 BC. It is a comic account of a woman's extraordinary mission to end the Peloponnesian War between Greek city states by denying all the men of the land any sex.
In 1989, the famous actor and poet Leonid Alekseyevich Filatov wrote his poetic version of "Lysistrata". Unfortunately, it is less known than the satirical tale "About Fedot the Archer", written and performed by Filatov from the stage, but nevertheless, the problems raised in the plot of "Lysistrata" are no less (or even more!) topical. Alas, I did not find the English version of the poem "Lysistrata", but if you have the opportunity to read the original source through an electronic translator, then I highly recommend that you do this.
