Hi, it's me again talking about my new story!! Haha as we gear up for the first chapter to go public (free!) on Patreon on Monday, I thought I'd give everyone a look at what Part I has in store for the reader. So here is the back cover blurb of Mellifluous:

Reuben—or, as he always introduces himself, 'Reubielocks' of the Starlet Eye bordello—hopes for a client with only peculiar, not dangerous tastes, when his services as a prostitute are requested one evening for an absurd amount of money. But after he is led into a secluded hideaway to meet a pale, stiff, overly-polite individual named Everic Payne, and gets informed he's been hired to give not his body, but his blood to the man, Reuben's life only descends further and further into danger.
Gold is a powerful incentive for someone like Reuben, indentured for possibly the rest of his life—enough to continue offering his blood despite the danger and cost to his already-fragile health. But it doesn't quite explain, the more he gets to know the vampire, why he starts wanting to help with Everic's dubious business here in Sazzera, or learn more about his past, or grow close enough to gain his trust . . . even if all Reuben can offer in return are pretty lies.
For what could be more dangerous, in this blessed city of light, than a dark and ugly truth?

Hi! For your Q&A, I'm really curious about what brushes/techniques you use for skin texture and shading. For example, I love the way you create Tyrus's freckles and skin tone in your art - it's so pretty <3

Out of all the wips you start, how many end up becoming full fledged illustrations? Do you tend to finish the majority of the wips that you start? Or do you doodle and sketch many wips but then really focus in on the pieces you're into at that point in time?
Hi Anon, thank you so much for your kind words! I gotta say that I do have a rather good track record of finishing projects once I put them down on a canvas. There are of course the occasional ideas that get scratched with time, but usually it's down to not really finding the right execution or actually merging an idea I had before with something new that came up along the way. It is related to me not being a doodler really - once a vision hits, it tends to hit pretty clearly and then it's more about just getting it out ;) It's a blessing and curse because while I do get most things I start to a finished state, I would love to work a little less concentrated sometimes, just sketching for fun or practice and creating some fun ideas just through that. But the habit never really stuck so far which limits my output a fair amound. Most ideas die in my head before the pen ever hits the paper. But those that prevail end up rather nicely :)

Shit. His scent is wafting through the air, washing over Tobio. The smell of his blood. Fresh, vibrant, alive. His eyes snap shut as he takes a moment, breaking in through his mouth. His canines ache with the urge to sink his teeth into that supple flesh and —
“Go away!” he snaps desperately.
At that moment, a car passes by near the mouth of the alley, and the yellow of its headlights spills over them both. Tobio watches the backlit figure of the young man freeze — his big eyes widen with realization, mouth falling open in shock. The fingers wrapped around the knife handle tense and shake. Tobio can hear his heartbeat stutter as it starts to race. Hell, he can smell the cold sweat, the fear that rolls off of him.
Delicious, some dark, horrible part of his brain comments, and a wince spills unbidden from his mouth. He realizes that, to this man — looking pallid and feral, with red eyes and blood-smeared teeth — he is completely indistinguishable from the monster he’s been desperately trying not to be. It makes him feel sick all over again. ---
