Bury Him with the Roses

TW: mentions of being buried alive

Damian finds out that his twin brother Danyal is alive after finding an article about purple-back gorillas, and as much as he dreads it he does have to inform his father about the child he never knew about.

Chaos explodes in the house after that revelation. Everyone is doing everything they can to dig up information on the kid. What’s weird though is that getting any sort of information out of Amity Park is proving to be quite difficult. It was a miracle it seems that Damian even found the article in the place.

In the end though they were able to find an address for the Fenton household. Which is why one week after that discovery Bruce, Damian, and Dick are all on a plane towards Illonis.

Only when they finally reach their destination late in the evening—the sun already nearly set—, and knock on the door do they come face to face with two grieving parents. The three of them are told that Danyal had died, and had been buried mere hours ago. The two are kind enough though to give them the location of his burial after they explain why they are there.

Despite it now being dark Damian refuses to go back to the hotel, and demands they go to the grave that instant. He has waited so long to be near his brother once more, and he will not waste another second.

Walking through the graveyard was a silent affair; guilt heavy in the air. As they walk closer though a light can be seen in the distance along with two individuals. Both of whom are holding shovels; digging. Once it is clear that it is Danyal’s grave specifically nothing is going to hold Damian back.

He dashes forward and tackles the closest graverobber. Bruce and Dick not far behind grab the other one out of the knee deep hole already dug. The two quickly try to explain that they are friends of Danyal, and are there to save him. That his parents buried him alive. They beg for a moment of silence to prove their case.

That is when a weak, muffled cry can be heard coming from below their feet.

Robin was silent as he moved in sync with Batman and Orphan as they jumped from rooftop to rooftop. His chest simmered with anticipation the closer they got to tonight's targets. It had taken almost everyone to stop him from leaving the cave when the location had been confirmed. The only thing that truly stopped him in the end though was information, information on who took his brother just earlier today.

Their Boy

I’ve seen a lot of prompts that have Danny traveling to the DC universe, and being an alternate of someone. While I adore those I want to try something a little different. I want Superman traveling to the DP universe, and finding his alternate self, who is Danny.

I’m imagining some type of magic altercation happens, and Superman ends up going through the portal that lands him in the Fenton’s living room. Danny who has seen an older version of himself before immediately clocks this guy as being another him.

The two of them are talking about the situation, and how they’re going to fix it when Jack and Maddie come home. They both know that their son is Phantom at this point.

The moment they see Clark they also know that this is their son. They would recognize him no matter what age. So what do they do? They hug him of course; that’s their boy all grown up!

And Clark just breaks. These might not be his parents exactly, but this is also the closest he’s ever going to get to meeting them. He knows that he should be more worried about how he’s going to get back home, but for now he’s content to just sit here in their arms.

Look-alike

In recent years there is a charity look-alike competition based around the Wayne family, and at the end a big picture is taken with the family and the look-alikes standing next to each other. Now, the thing about this competition is that everyone jokes about it being a way for Bruce to scope out any black haired blue eyed children that he might want to adopt.

Danny entered as a joke, 100% not expecting for anything to come out of it. Sure he matched the signature look, but so did a hundred other people in Gotham. There was no reason for him to be picked out of everyone that applied. Of course that is what he thought before he was standing on stage next to his look-alike.

It gets even worse for Danny when everyone starts saying that he is the closest doppelganger they’ve ever seen, and questioning if the two are actually related to one another. These comments would be something he would just sweep under the rug, but now the whole Wayne family is looking at him with curious eyes.

“I can’t believe you stopped me from running after Danyal, Father! I pray that you do not regret that decision later on for that could have been our one chance to get Danyal!” Damian growled out as he marched into the manor.

Bruce gave a great sigh as he followed his youngest inside, “Damian, I know you think that you saw Danyal, but we need to confirm what actually happened."

Please let me do my job

Danny somehow manages to get a job working as a server during a gala event. The uniform sucks, but he wasn’t about to complain when he was desperate for any job right now. He had to flee from Amity after his parents discovered that he was Phantom with almost nothing, but the clothes on his back. So the uniform was definitely worth it with how much he was getting paid.

What wasn’t worth it though was the amount of rich fruitloops that have approached him. Everytime he turned around someone was there and wanted to ask him questions. Asking things like why he was dressed as a server, and calling him by the name of Tim. It wasn't hard to figure out that everyone thought he was Tim Drake-Wayne.

He knows that the Waynes are known for black hair and blue eyes, but for him to be getting this much attention for it is just getting ridiculous at this point. Danny would have just brushed it under the rug as it being a rich people are just weird thing. If it hadn’t been for the fact that Dick Grayson, the oldest Wayne child, had grabbed him coming out of the kitchen and into a secluded area.

“Tim, what are you doing; why are you dressed as a server? Everyone here knows your face, now is not the time to be going undercover!” Dick whispers while looking for anyone that might be watching them. “Go change back into your normal clothes. Well talk about whatever this is back in the cave ok?”

The fact that Tim Drake goes undercover was probably not something Danny was supposed to know. Also, did he say cave? As in the Bat-Cave? A rock settles in Danny stomach as he realizes that the Wayne's are the bats. Which is definitely not something he should know.

Before Danny can think of anything to say that will get him out of this situation without any problems a voice is already calling out, "Dick! What are you doing back here?"

The owner of the voice is of course none other than Tim Drake himself. This wasn’t going to end well Danny thought to himself as he watch Dick looked between himself and Tim.

How did this become his life.

Danny was really starting to regret wanting Sam and Tucker to come with him to Gotham as he stands in front of the planetarium’s dedication plaque. The words themselves almost feel as if they are mocking him; opening old wounds once thought healed.

“To the one who told me that all I needed to do was look towards the stars to find him. — Damian Wayne”

Twins?

Danny and Damian are NOT twins, but they do look similar. Similar enough that the teachers have even started to get the two of them confused ever since Danny started to go to Gotham Academy. It gets even worse since they share almost every class together, and seem to get paired up anytime group work is needed in class.

It surprisingly didn’t take Damian very long to warm up to the other boy; if anything it was Danny who took the longest to accept the growing friendship between them. From that point on the two would purposely sit next to one another every class. The other students notice this very quickly and it isn’t long before the nickname ‘The Twins’ is being used to refer to them.

Damian once he hears this is immediately on board, and decides that Danny will be his twin brother. This is when he starts planning on how he’s going to get Danny integrating into the family. It’s meant to be Damian thinks when he later learns that Danny is attending the school on a scholarship, and doesn’t have any other family members listed on any of his paperwork.

In the end Damian decides that the best course of action is to just be direct. So, at the end of the school day he drags Danny with him to the car pick area, and pulls Danny inside of the vehicle waiting for him. Promptly declaring to Alfred who is confused to see another young boy — one who resembles Damian greatly — that this is his twin brother.

And Alfred just takes one long look at the black haired blue eyed boy before thinking to himself, “the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree does it?” Before putting the car in drive and heading towards the manor.

Younger Years Pt. 5

The two boys walk shoulder to shoulder with completely silent steps as they follow their Grandfather down the long empty corridor. While doing so Damian takes a chance to steal a glance at his brother beside him. He knows Danyal and Grandfather's relationship is unsteady at times what with his brother always asking questions. It is something that even he has had to scold Danyal for; to not question what Grandfather is telling them to do.

Why regress him? The kid is already like 8 or 10. No point.

I literally say Damian is 14 in the first chapter. Why de-age him? Because that’s how I wanted to write my fic. Did you actually read this or are you just judging off the summary?

Danyal keeps to the shadows as he enters the town. He doesn't know where he is or if anyone that could recognize him is here. The last thing he needs right now is for Grandfather to know his location; or Damian. Which is not a thought he would ever think of. While the two of them certainly had their differences, Danyal never thought they would end like this. He should have though he realizes; their story was only ever going to end with a tragedy.

Mistakes Were Made

It's always Danny getting mistaken for a Wayne, and ends up getting dragged into the bats' lives. What if instead of that though Tim gets mistaken for Danny, and now has to deal with ghost stuff.

Danny, Sam, and Tucker are in Gotham because Clockwork needs them to get something, talk to Lady Gotham, or whatever reason you want. While there though the three of them end up spilt up with plans to meet up in the alley behind a coffee shop nearby in a couple hours.

Coincidentally, that is the same time Tim likes to go and get himself some coffee from that very shop.

Sam and Tucker by this time have already arrived, and are just waiting on Danny when they see Tim walking past; whom they assume is Danny. The fact that Danny is seemingly wearing different clothes from when they last saw them doesn't even concern them at all. Their friend must have just needed a disguise for something. Obviously!

Tim takes a mental note when he hears people talking in the alley, but when a voice happily calls out to someone named "Danny" he doesn't pay it anymore mind. He has a coffee that's not going to order itself after all.

The voice calls out to this Danny person once more, and the voice is much closer to him this time. Curiosity getting the better of him he stops and looks back only for a teen around his age wearing a red hat to grab his arm. The stranger is talking at him a mile a minute as he drags them back into the alley where a goth girl is waiting. A small glowing marble sits in her hand.

To help Sam, Tucker, and Danny get back to Infinite Realms, Clockwork gave them something that would open a portal wherever they are. All they need to do is throw it onto a large surface, and a portal will appear for a few seconds; enough time for all of them to enter it.

"It's about time you show up, Danny!" The girl says while looking directly at him.

Tim doesn't even have any time to react before she is throwing the glowing marble at the brick wall, and a bright green, Lazarus green, portal opens up and he is being pushed inside of it.

Just as the portal disappears behind the three of them Danny comes rushing into the alley only to see no one there, and that immediately worries him because while Tucker might have been late as well; Sam wouldn't have been.

Meanwhile, Barbara is panicking because every single tracker and electrical device on Tim has simultaneously disconnected. She knows Tim likes to frequent a certain coffee shop at this time, and pulls up all the security cameras with the building in view.

She doesn’t like what she finds, and she assumes the blurry figure that enters and exits the alley soon after will have some more concrete answers for what happened to Tim.
