Like, Danny could reincarnate as Darkside and some human son, and Sam and Tucker as children of high members of the Apokolips army
So, when the three of them become 14, they start to gain their memories from their past lives. It gets to a point where, as the three of them have fascinating memories of Earth, they go there with a "we are old enough to start to do missions out of apocalypse, dad", and then they three go to Earth.
The problem is: they, recognized in all the galaxy as the legendary royal trio of Apokolips, traveling in an infiltration ship to Earth, a planet that literally everyone knows that Darkside wants to conquer, gain too much attention (all the green lanterns are ready to stop the ship in any sign that they are going to attack) (the justice league is absolutely ready to stop the beginning of a total war between them and Darkside, with all backup plans possible in hand)
Imagine their faces when, Danny, Sam and Tucker just land on firm earth, dress human normal teenager clothes and just go like, and start to explore all the type of things in the first city they see
It could go anywhere from here, the first city could be Central City, and Bart would just go straight to them and immediately be their friend (he is from the future and knows these tree legends too damn well, he wouldn't waste the chance of becoming their first human friend)
Or they could end up in Gotham, and we all know what happens with teenagers that show up with the trauma level "I grew up in Apokolips"

i love this photo because at first you think that she was going to get married but instead her husband to be left her, or something like that. but actually its quite the opposite. i clicked on the source and it brought me to an article explaining the story behind this photo, and shes not crying, shes hungover. her and her husband went to a football game on their wedding day, and got extremely drunk and partied all night. they took the subway home because they couldn’t drive. so no, its not a sad heartbreaking story, its a crazy joyful one. which in my opinion makes the picture even more amazing.

who tells me that the lid of the trash can shouldn't hold as well the front of the truck shouldn't be perfect after that? unless danny is really very light. SO :
-either he is permanently and it's a halfa thing but with very physically affectionate parents who pick him up and would be alarmed by it
-either Danny, consciously or not can control more than flight/non-flight, so that "flight" is not a binary power but a gradient
-either the transformation was initiated and the change of appearance is the last step of the process and that only phantom is light as a feather but this will conclude that the transformation itself is not an on off button which would go against the logic of other episodes of the series
so option two seems the most logical to me

No really, it was something that Jason felt the Bats would laugh about, while also helping out some street kids along the way.
He put out a job for the kids of Crime Alley, anyone who could pickpocket the entire Wayne family would get all necessities paid for them by Red Hood until they turned 18.
Most kids that saw the challenge would think it was a joke.
Most kids that believed it was real would think it wasn't even worth trying.
Most kids that tried would be caught immediately, and subsequently get a meal paid for by their Wayne of choice and suddenly have some doors opened for them, because Jason knew his family and knew they had a soft spot for kids.
Except the one thing he didn't account for was Danny Fenton, who most certainly was not most kids.

Y’all since bets can be made legally binding through contract too, what if Danny deals in wagers. This dude basically died on a dare. I’m picturing eternally 14 Phantom refusing to take deals because of the upkeep. Like you made a deal and own me a favor/your soul/your first born, now that is a pending investment to be monitored until assets can be collected. Danny says ain’t nobody got time for that and instead he deals in these wagers. They range to a multitude of things. If you can guess my living name(3 tries rumplestilskin style), beat me in a duel, catch my child in an earth hour, etc I’ll grant your favor. Since the summoner technically always chooses the place, Danny always chooses the activity(of course he always chooses things he’s confident about winning unless he wants to lose). And the punishment/Danny’s prize for them losing the wager is just whatever random thing he thinks of at the time. One time he takes a jacket off a dude. With cultist he normally has them turn themselves in.
Anyways the entire point of this is that Constantine’s whole schtick is making loopholes in deals or making conflicting contracts but he can’t do that so much with Danny’s straightforward no nonsense approach to his wagers. Just John Constantine being totally unable to deal with Phantom and taking it personally and either becoming obsessed with being able get something out of him or refusing to have anything to do with him when the JL ask him to summon him for whatever reason.
They have a competitive friendship thing going on. Oh John hates that he barely wins. But also, hearing what he does to other people? Gold star entertainment. And Danny? Adores the bastard Laughing Magician. This guy is great!
The Justice League had been dealing with an influx of inter dimensional beings causing havoc for weeks now. Constantine had been off world until a few hours ago. Took one look and started swearing viciously.
John: Alright. I know how to sort it. Where can I set up a summons?
Batman: What are you summoning?
John: Ah. A friend o' mine. He's a snarky pest. But good to his core. But uh, he's a bit hyper. Jus' so you know.

Which, given the moral standards of the Realm? Would NOT be viewed as a bad thing.
He is a ZONE ghost. Not a simple spirit. Far beyond what they are used to dealing with. Arguably? ASCENDANT. From a higher plane of existence. A lower one. Several steps to the side. He is, for all intents and purposes, shrimp colors to the human eye. The color blue to a blind man. An orb to the two dimensional.
CAN he even interact with the world's cultivation systems? Does it recognize him as a god? A dead man? Some sort of ascendant dead god?

Going off of general xianxia vibes, and depending on whether he comes off as having a kind of resentful spirit core (because ghost and the DP fandom core concept overlapping) or just straight off has Bad Vibes...
Well, Danny would be viewed as Highly Suspect but given guest rights as long as he behaves, or be outright Refused. Which... is difficult depending on whether you assume the possible guest is a demon, a monster pretending to be human, a malevolent ghost, or even a heavenly spirit. Most are Bad News, but as seen with fairytales and myths in other cultures there's still the element of "do I want to risk pissing off this thing by saying an outright no?".
Like for example Sleeping Beauty or some versions of how in Greek Mythology a gold apple with a note saying it was for the fairest was pitched into a wedding over someone not being invited to the wedding.... which due to Zeus passing the buck of judging off on a mortal, eventually led to the Trojan War.
However I just want to add a fun possibility to this: this is a world built off of one of his games like how he got stuck in the Doom knockoff, like let's say an expy of Jade Empire on the og Xbox for a relevant one released roughly around when DP would've been set (2004 - 2007, vs 2005).
So he comes off as even more off because to him this isn't real. This is a video game, where he gets to join a kung fu monk monastery and train in magic self-improvement stuff. To the locals he's some Terrifying Not Human who may be a god for all they know here to test them on how they handle strangers. One wrong step can lead to the sect being destroyed.
High stakes game of Pretend if you will. Very stressful.
The sect's enemies are fully willing to let them fall, but their allies? Definitely slowly building up whatever measures they can figure out and then deal with this mysterious guest De Ning Fen Zhen. (And what a mockery that courtesy name seems to be, if they heard it right through that odd accent. Virtue, Serene, Strive, Genuine. Everything claimed seems a lie.)
Keep in mind that I have the barest of clues what yall are talking about here. But aren't there some myths that you take care of the Other and it will leave a Gift?
If you are lucky, yes, although sometimes the gift is simply your life spared. In some cases the only way you learn the stranger was anything Other was by someone Fucking Up guest rights or even just making a tiny mistake that wouldn't matter in normal circumstances. More commonly the gift is a boon (material or something More precious or strange) and that assumes that the gift is even something that'll actually be good and not bring ruin or draw envy.
It really depends a lot on the type of story being told just as much as it depends on whether the entity is something genuinely benevolent or is working on a perception that doesn't gel with humanity or that culture's social mores.
I think that to explore this more we'd need a Xanxia(?) Protagonist to speak through? Right?
I really like this "oh god, it's the FUCKING FAE" Type vibe? Ngl. De Ning is CLEARLY a test... maybe a trap? CLEARLY though, it is one of rudeness. A test of Virtues. I mean, just look at how he presents himself! Not as a grown man... but a youth! A child to be taught! Guided!

It is, of course, VITAL throughout this whole ass trip? That Danny thinks he's NAILING the incognito thing. Suuuuper sneaky. No one suspects a THING!
we could also follow the path where only the evil/vengeful/bad/manipulative/doubtful/fraud sectarians will take Danny: the first look à him like is one of theirs for the vibrations of danny's core. The manipulators wanting to control/used Danny. And the last ones don't even recognize what they have in front of them. (to make it funnier I suggest that Danny meets in this order)
Danny is recruited by a dark and aggressive group of men but they end up treating Danny like a little brother because Danny seems unmoved by all of their intimidation tactics and instead praises them and attempts to imitate them. He listens to their stories without looking at them with pity or as if they were crazy and really sympathizes then tells one of his anecdotes like the time when someone who literally wanted his skin "handcuffed" (?) him to his (ex?) love interest who wanted to kill him at that moment ect
danny finished little by little, not rehabilitating them entirely but calming them down enough so that they could interact with average Jean
Danny ends up leaving to continue exploring the world but has in mind a distorted image of the world because of what they told him, so, he therefore avoids sects with a reputation that is too good to be true or structures that are too large.
The group of manipulators heard about Danny while they were staying in the dark sect and decided to play their part
Danny doesn't fall into their manipulation trap (they had Vlad vibes!) and makes them go crazy while playing innocence
throughout it ends in tears and nervous breakdown
But at least Danny lets off steam ~
Then Danny comes across this trio trying to start their sect from scratch, and says: why not?
Anyone who is a real culturateur would realize what frauds these brothers are but... not Danny. On the contrary their basic exercise in a very good setting really helps him relax and soothe him in a way a week of spa has never been able to do for him
The brothers don't understand how their "student" actually seems to become OP (not really it's until Danny is more relaxed and therefore has a less tight grip on his power) and are questioning their entire lives
They became real cultivateurs when Danny left
All the while the sect watches the doings of this *insert the theory of the sect in question here* with attention and fear
the ghost King is summoned by the Justice League but Danny appears in an ice coffin in the center of a very large summoning circle Through the thin cover you can see him drooling slightly in his sleep There's a minute where they all look at each other…is someone going to have to step into the circle and wake up the royal supernatural teenager? should they wait? Is this the coffin of eternal sleep? (no), maybe a soft wake-up call…? What they don't know yet is that Danny started snoring recently, and with the capacity of his vocal cords, it was dangerous… so he uses his ice powers to make a coffin which is totally soundproof (he didn't have a better idea and he thought it was funny, his friends approved)
The Fenton parents decided that to finance their new series of inventions, they were going to sell some of their inventions that they ultimately never used (and that the GiW does not want) on an inventor auction site… the most part of their invention is sold for almost nothing but the Fentons were committed to selling whatever the price, so… they must find other ways to earn money easily… maybe a fudge sale !
Two face managed to get his hands on the Fenton Ghost Catcher tm. OK, the other rogues give him a kind of tasteless gag gift for his birthday.
Except it works! Two-Face and harvey are free from each other!!! Two-Face remains in place but suffice to say that harvey went to celebrate with his best friend bruce who decided the best idea to have the machine studied by his company, Harvey therefore gives the location
So the Fenton Ghost Catcher tm ends up at the batcave that same evening
But after an argument and shoving, several members of the batfam go through the Fenton Ghost Catcher tm and the Fenton Ghost Catcher tm works for some of them as well and in the accident the machine is damaged
Cerize on the cake, harvey WITH Two-Face comes back the next day because they both feel sick…
They must urgently find out who the Fenton(s) are
An injured Danny emerges from a random portal into a thankfully empty cemetery. exhausted he decides to bandage himself up then sleep there, it's not as if his dead friends are going to denounce him.
His blood seeps into the cemetery floor and into the coffin just below where he is asleep.
Danny is awakened by movements in the earth. still half asleep he plunges his hands towards the movement…
something grabs his grip
Or ecto resurrects things, Danny's blood is ectoplasmic, so :
now place here the start of a zombie invasion or the resurrection of Jason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or both
You know how in some ghost stories sometimes its not a person or a land that's haunted but the items?
Well what if, when looking for a mother's day gift for his mom, Danny is looking around a pawn shop and finds a necklace, it's missing some pearls but it's just enough to pass off as a decent gift. Danny humms but decides against it and goes to leave it....
That was until he gasped out blue frost and spots a ghostly woman appear out of the necklace with a somber smile. She isn't as seeable as the other ghosts in Amity though, meaning she doesn't have enough ectoplasm on her own (that might change the longer she's in Amity and around Danny though) and that right now only Danny can see her.
And Danny well... hes been doing his hero gig for a bit now, might go and ask if there was anything he can do to help.
And later Danny's good deed... bites him back. Oh boy. Because now he has the Bats looking into Amity Park... Wait what do you mean Martha is now strong enough to be seen?!

Ohh, Danny is going to rush her to Frostbite first though. She's bound to an object, and has been starved of ectoplasm? She's visiting the yeti while he plans his road trip with Tucker and Sam. And giving us a convenient reason for why she knows so much about the current situation.
Then of course, during the trip? Danny wears the necklace so she can feed off his stores of ecto. While chatting to these kids. Asking questions, so she knows what kind of danger she's in. So she knows what to avoid doing, of course! Team Phantom have an adult shaped person who is listening! Offering good advice! They tell her everything!
As soon as she's handed over? Well, she waits to be taken to the cave. She knows her boy is going to test the necklace. And then she appears. And tells them everything she just learned. Feeds her husband the Ecto Frostbite handed to her for Thomas. Then it is time for her to smother her family in so much love!
I was envisioning chaos
Thomas tells martha to give the ecto to jason. He needs it more. Lady gotham has sustained thomas this long, he can wait a bit longer.
Batman is tracking down danny (gotham is waylaying him to prevent him from leaving) before he leaves town while jason is getting smothered (affectionate) by his adopted grandmother. Sure, she drenched him in weird-feeling lazarus water, but pieces of him are settling that he had been resigned to always be in chaos.
Danny gets swept away by Batman and dragged back to the cave. He is very confused. Then sees a very smug looking Martha. Who grabs him in a hug. After all, he can't escape her.
Martha: Now dear, you tell them everything you told me. We are getting this sorted!
Danny: Ok Miss Martha. Are you sure it's safe?
Martha: My boy would never have allowed this had he known.
This, this is what I mean by Martha is a mother. She just gives off doting mom engry. Need a hug? Go see (Gran)Mama Martha. Need a kiss on the forehead? Go see (Gran)Mama Martha. Need help destroying your enemies with political power or navigate high social events with ease? (Gran)Mama Martha can teach you (small headcanon, Martha was the financial/high society brains of the Wayne family, Thomas was decent at it but his smarts were with being a doctor and medical knowledge)

Martha: And Danny, I told you and your friends I don't mind the nickname you gave me, no need to call me Miss Martha. Now come this way. -moves him to the medical cots in the cave so he can sit and explain-

Also what in the name of the Ancients happened to you dude, it feels like you and your core took a bath in sewage. -looking at Jason whose on a cot being treated by both Alfred and a ghostly but not seen (but Jason and those death touched are starting to) Thomas Wayne-
Danny notices Thomas and starts sending him some spare Ecto he's absorbed. All nice and cleansed. So everyone is starting to see a shadow take form. While Danny is just stuck on the medical cot being poked as he whines. He has a Dr dammit! He doesn't need your primitive human poking torture devices!!!!
Danny: Mama M!! Can't I just summon Frostbite!! Please?
Martha: Oh dear. You really don't like needles do you?
Danny: Neither would you after seeing what your own parents have planned for your ghost....
Martha: Ah. Oh sweetie. I'm sorry, I didn't consider that aspect. Of course. We can pester Frostbite for answers as well.
Bruce: Mom? Who is Frostbite!
Martha: Oh! He's the Cheif of the Yeti tribe. And the head researcher into medical matters. At the very least in that portion of the Realms.
the moment Frostbite is in the cave, he B-lines to Danny and Jason. Does a quick check up on his main patient (Danny already did his main one when he brought in Mama M to see him a few weeks ago) tells him to ease up on spending his self-ectoplasim to much (feeding some to Mama M and now on Thomas, he does send a small look of 'And you too' to the shadows of the room as if looking at someone else, its was Lady Gotham he's being respectful with not calling her out since this was her territory) before turning his attention to Jason and getting to work.
Frostbite: Great One, if you ever find the ones that made this little one's core the way it is, make sure send them my way. Whoever thinks it perfectly acceptable to just toss a reverant in those so called 'healing waters' needs to be reeducated on proper healing methods!

Both Frostbite and Thomas go into medical mode. Ghost friendships unlocked.
Meanwhile Mama M is busy fussing and taking care with Alfred over the kids and Bruce. She knew the moment Frostbite would be introduced to her husband that was going to happen. She sits down and takes time to get to know each of her grandkids, coos and cups faces and peppers kisses on forehead and cheeks before doing the same to Bruce and telling him how proud she is of the man he is, scolds him for being a little reckless when he's Batman and she has laughed at his Brucie moments she's seen in the news, but still proud of how strong her son has become despite her or Thomas able to lead or raise him. She gives Alfred a kiss on the cheek as a thank you for raising her son too.
Thomas isn't just a guardian spirit. He's a doctor, a healer. It was his calling to heal others and his city even before he died.
Thomas pouring his energy into his family is a good part of why and how his son and grandkids have managed to survive injuries that should have killed them. His efforts to heal them is why their injuries haven't left them crippled or with limited physical capability. His energy and Lady Gotham's power boost is why they heal up so quickly and cleanly, without debilitating complications.
Keeping them safe and in decent health is exhausting for a spirit. Even with Lady Gotham's help, he's still been barely more than a shade as all his available energy goes towards his living family.
Martha herself was fractured for so long, scattered among her pearls. She was barely a shade until her pearl necklace got to Amity Park and started absorbing ambient ectoplasm. When Danny had first seen her she'd been glitching and faded like a stuttering film reel. He'd struggled to understand her at first, which is why he rushed her to Frostbite.
With good clean ecto and time soaking in the Zone she stabilized and could manifest more fully without glitching. But not enough to appear to normal people yet. Frostbite explained she needed her anchor object, the pearls, to be unified and whole to gain her full strength.
Martha could sense them, and get faint glimpses of the surroundings of the missing pearls. The rest were all in Gotham. A good chunk were at Wayne manor. Between that and Martha wanting to reunite with Thomas and Bruce, and the grandkids, of course Danny would help her get home.
Road trip to Gotham City! Sam has always wanted to go. Tucker wanted to see Wayne Enterprises. And even if not, they're all Ride and Die with each other. Weekend road trip let's go! Sam even has her license and Danny can drive almost anything even if he's only got a learner's.
Danny wears the pearls under his shirt, against his skin, to maximize the ecto Martha can absorb. It helps let her manifest during the trip. And not just because Danny takes every opportunity to literally dramatically clutch his pearls as a joke.
Once Bruce takes the necklace to place safely with the pearls he'd managed to safekeep, then Martha has enough of her anchor reunited to manifest to Bruce and all her grandkids. She's still a little fuzzy on the edges and not fully corporeal. But they can feel her touch even if faintly. The more pearls collected the more solid and present she becomes.
And oh, when Bruce finds out his parents, his wonderful loving proud of him parents, that he just got back in his life; and the kids that did so much to reunite them; and his big little boy Jason, are considered non-sentient by law? Are at risk of being hunted down like vermin and experimented on? And when the Batkids find out? Oh ho.
I have no words ugh omg. I love all of this.
Goodness can you imagine the emotions Bruce goes through when Danny and his friends show up with her pearls or do you think they leave it at the front gate, wave at the camera and book it to the car (Lady Gotham has made plans to keep them in Gotham the moment she felt Martha, her wounderful, kind, and badass when needed to be Martha, return home. She knows her Knight will want to meet with Team Phantom thus she plans to stall them within her city self)
Then the emotions he feels when his mother appears fully, after getting the rest of the pearls, and she explains everything and then lightly touches his batman suit and says "Thomas dear come on out." And she gives the extra ectoplasim she's been storing since Amity to him and he appears and they're both so happy to see each other. And Beuce and the others just watch as the two reunite after years of being apart. And ugh the feelings when Thomas explains he's been protecting his son and grandkids with Lady Gothams help as best as he could with his limited power.
Bruce's need to protect goes into overdrive, for his parents, for his own kids (cause a lot of them would be in danger from the GIW, especially those whose died), and those kids that gave him his mom's pearls back as well. And well... the GIW will have NOTHING left to its name or power.
UGH THE FEELINGS.
I have this image of an oversized Martha, her ghost form is big for cuddles ok. Just picking up Damian and Tim. These are the babiest birds! She's gonna cuddle! Neither quite know what to do. Help! Mayday! They are being squished! Cheeks pinched! She keeps cooing at them! Danny is just laughing. Yeah, ghosts be that way. He says in ghost form, tail wrapped around Sam's shoulders. Hugging Tucker's arms. Thomas wrapped around Jason and Cass, with Dick on his back. Steph curled up by his tail.
Bruce day at the computer going through the information Tucker sent him on the situation. Martha's tail around his waist. Duke is lying down, cold compress on his eyes. A hand from someone running through his hair. Giving him head scratches.
Bruce accepts that his mother is a ghost pretty quickly because honestly it could just as easily have happened, his mother is indeed the Joker in an alternate reality ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they're doing well here
