post revolution thought:
love that both mjf & hangman are deeply insecure, just in complete opposite ways.
mjf is so sure of himself yet desperately wants to be loved at his worst, while hangman is beloved even at his lowest but hates himself too much to accept that love.
to cope with these crippling insecurities, mjf berates the same people he craves acceptance from, parading behind the veneer of, "I'm better than you, and you know it." While hangman self-destructs, once with alcohol, then with blood and violence, both to soothe his self-hatred.
what's worse? to never be loved fully and unabashedly for who you are, even at your worst, or to have that love, but hate yourself too much to ever feel you deserve it.
