Ohhh this should be like. A law. Fck off if u dunno ab consent or sumn. I wanna go to this bar lowkey
Perhaps what defines a game is whether it judges you on your performance.
Doodle Jump is undeniably a game, but you can't win it, it just tracks how high you get before you fail.
Lego Star Wars is undeniably a game, but with infinite respawns, you can't fail it, it just judges your performance based on how many studs you collect.
Unfortunately this definition may include the dastardly Fitbit.
What is the failure state of fucking animal crossing
So a fail state can be as simple as a lack of accruing things?.....
Man.
It all goes back to Cookie Clicker, doesn't it.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
this might be one of the worst things anyones ever said to me
tumblr has some competition in the hate mail game
send me a made-up fic title and i'll tell you what i would write to go with it
send me an ask with a fake title and ill tell you what that would prompt me to write!!
there are some headcanons where it's like. 'i would enjoy this as a light seasoning in fic but certain chunks of the fandom have become more committed to this than the actual canon and made it load-bearing in scenarios where it simply doesn't make sense'.
this came back on my dash and i’m thrilled to announce that when i checked the tags i saw that among the many documented grievances attached was someone else griping about the exact thing that spurred me to make this post. hello my comrade in exasperation may we all carry on from day to day
do y'all remember when they found all that tf art in Osamu Tezuka's drawer post-mortem because I think about it often
anyway keep chasing your bliss and draw weird shit, god knows we need that right now
foreshadowing done well makes me go feral like there’s NOTHING better than getting to the end a book or an important storyline moment and realising that the author laced information so intricately into their writing that weren’t noticeable upon first read but when you read back sections they’re light giant red flags like wow writing is amazing
the best stories contain two stories: the one you read the first time, and the one you read every time after that
Archive of Our Own (ao3), the internet
Do y'all ever read a fic so good that it makes you want to elevate your own craft and also befriend the writer? It's almost like, "Hi! You write so well that you've inspired me to embark on a creative training arc. Also, can I yell about the character in your dms because you get it?"
Hardest part of writing is accepting that some people will not fucking get it & you just have to like cope with that because over-explaining it just makes it worse
I will not over-explain my art to the stupidest people on earth. I'm writing for people who know what I'm talking about. Mantra that will save you. David Lynch was right
I like writing fanfiction that I absolutely do not have the qualifications to write
I’m a lesbian virgin writing thousands of words of pure gay sex
It’s so freeing I’m having the time of my life so the moral of the story is if u want to write smthn u say “fuck it we ball” and u just do it
Sometimes you just gotta remind yourself to just get all your thoughts on paper, good or bad. Remember you can always edit later. Currently my fics go through three stages of editing so you can only imagine the out of pocket stuff I start with. Do what works for you.
Writing is art. Art will only be understood by the people who choose to dig deeper. Why try and force yourself to write one way to please everyone when there is people who feel moved when you write the way YOU want to. They feel seen when they’ve felt so lonely. Doing what makes you happy can save not only your life but those around you. People find comfort in fan fiction and books. I know I 100% do. You’re not alone.
Sorry little speech. I just want to make it clear this is a safe space. Keep going lovely!
Much love,
Lilith 💋
I'm sorry, but I don't trust people who are anti-OCs. So you're telling me that you don't like reading fanfics with OCs in them?? Well, I hate to break it to you but every character is someone's Original Character. Son Goku is Akira Toriyama's OC. Ichigo Kurosaki is Tite Kubo's OC. Ash Ketchum is Satoshi Tajiri's OC (and a self-insert). Garrus Vakarian is Mac Walters's OC. Katsuki Bakugo is Kohei Horikoshi's OC. So if you're anti-OC, then you're essentially anti-Canonical Characters. I'm just saying.
