Derek is pretty open to listening to anything, but he mainly listens to metal/rock/indie rock/alternative!

Think Queen, Bon Jovi, Weezer, Arctic Monkeys, Mitski (and more in the same genres!)

Derek loves anything with a good bass line!

Songs with vocals can be distracting, though.

So when he writes, he usually listens to more ambient soundtracks ( if possible, something that fits the mood of his story )

He might have been in a band back in high school

Derek likes to use sillier pet names for the MC.

Like Bean, Pookie, Chicken Nugget, and so on. Most of these names will come from random memes he sees online that remind him of MC.

He'll start by saying it ironically, but eventually, he really really likes it.

forgot to mention I LOVE how you draw background characters. Not the ones that are eyeless but the ones that are like stick figurey! (I’m so bad at describing things) they have so much personal style to them and are charming!

Derek wants to write novels for a living! Ideally, he would be writing his own stories- just like some of his favourite authors ( Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle )

I don't have specific voices in mind for the characters, but that's a super interesting question!! It sent me on a little rabbit hole, looking for something that I felt would suit them.

Sven's voice would be deeper and a little husky. He's a little monotone with others and a little more expressive with MC.

I could imagine him speaking like Howl from Howl's Moving Castle.

Derek would sound like Marshall Lee from Adventure time!

There's a lil casual sarcastic tone that really captures his vibe.

Gwen would sound like Frieren but less wise!

I imagine her voice being comforting and soft.

Gwen does have bad habits too, of course!

She skips her classes fairly often since she doesn't really care about what she's learning as long as she gets her degree. She still studies and does her assignments; she just doesn't always show up to class.

There IS a reason for why Sven is immediately smitten by the MC from the get-go, but it is a MAJOR spoiler for his route, so I'm not revealing that just yet!

i think ronin will always miss ther, in some capacity; ther was his first love (and first loss). he'll try to seem like he cares less than he does, but his bleeding heart always comes through. ronin always has a bleeding heart.

i don't think ronin sees ther in mc, unless the mc is of a similar archetype and personality to ther (that is: perfectionist, haughty, combative, snarky, repressed, and likely female or afab nb, etc.) ronin saw ther in angel because she has similar traits to them (being perfectionistic, a lil snarky, high-femme) but i think after dating angel, he's understood that she isn't ther and that's okay. after angel, he knows the mc isn't ther and it's better that way - it helps him move on.

what would ronin do if MC did kill someone for him or went to prison for him?

kill someone for him:

he'd find it the funniest fucking shit ever. kiss you and go, oh, that's divine, cackle as he stares at the body of the screwed. he's the devil, isn't this proof? oh, it's euphoric, killing somebody's one thing but goading an innocent into murder is—

something else entirely.

went to prison for him:

he'd visit you, legs propped up on the desk. that's the butcher, the police says, don't get close. he'd lean close, hold his hand up to the glass that separates you two like movie lovers do. drawl into the phone: oh, darling, pathetic and divine, what a ruinous fucking sight. he'd listen to your whispers. he'd blow you an air kiss. it must feel so good being the butcher, baby!

he'd leave, then. he won't come back.
