Identifying LPS in posts

@lps-identifier

Exactly what it says on the tin -A

Hi all, A here. Feel free to drop a picture of any lps you want id-d or tag me in posts. Don't send me messages that have nothing to do with lps, I will delete. Without reading probably.

DISCLAIMER: I don't ID kenner pets since I'm not familiar with them.

Also, I refer to pets 1-456 as gen 1 (originals), 457-973 as gen 2 (personality type pets), and 974-2675 as gen 3 (last "classical" mold pets, primarily white and green packaging, third logo redesign).

This distinction is because most pets I ID are from gens 1-3 and it's easier to distinguish and categorize them this way. Also, this is the way LPSMerch, the site I primarily use, categorizes them.

(Gen 4 is the 2012 redesigns)

Common tags:

gen [number] lps; pets sorted by generation

figures; all images featuring actual figures as compared to:

art; which is all images that aren't photos/ don't include pictures of pets. This distinction is because art pieces are often harder to correctly ID because of art style and shading changing colors.

unsure; IDs I'm not 100% sure of, usually happens in case of molds that have the same colors in many different releases (like chicks, almost all of them are really close shades of yellow)

no number; pets without number. most commonly found when pets are included as a bonus for other merch. Like puzzle&game sets, electronics ect.

^Also common with 6th gen blindbag pets
