Hey! I'm Firefly or Luci, she/her.

This is mainly a Transformers blog, but other interests and random things will come and go. * Final Fantasy, Horizon games, Station 19, EPIC: The Musical, video games and technology in general, and various indie animations including Ramshackle and TADC to name a few. Also just a lot of random memes and stuff.

Seriously fuck Ebay for adding that "let AI write your item description for you" feature. It's completely useless and just regurgitates what was written in the title with more words. When I'm buying broken stuff to fix I need to know if the seller knows what's wrong with it, not "this non-working retro Sega Genesis system will be a great addition to any gamer's collection!"

Just. Write your own description. It doesn't even have to be a paragraph, just a few words. Please. It's not that hard. 🤦‍♀️

Ah yes, a Sega Genesis, FROM 2005, with the model number "sega genesis"..... and a STORAGE CAPACITY of 16 BIT. (That makes me feel old and I wasn't even alive until long after the Sega Genesis came out. Which was 1989, by the way.... not 2005.)

  1. Cause I bought 7 broken Wiis off Ebay when I was first getting into console repair! Those 4 are the ones I managed to fix. (Side note: Wiis are not a great place to start. Retro stuff is better. Also, one of them had a bug infestation inside 😭)

#i love the wii but it is difficult to work on#stupid video capacitors dying and making the screen dark and being so hard to replace#i think 2 or 3 of those four just had a bad bluetooth or wifi chip which was pretty easy to fix#now i'm working on a lot of sega genesis consoles! more fun and easier to fix#anyways I'll stop now I could ramble about this for days#firefly.txt#polls

Yknow, I watched this without sound. And I saw "I hate you" as a reply, and assumed something awful happened at the end of the video. And then I scrolled down a bit further, and went back up, listened to the audio and I gotta say. I agree with found-sheep.

Ironically @captainseamech you were right the first time. It's a normal black Sega Genesis. There is no beautiful blue variant. 😭

I thought I had stumbled upon either a rare Genesis variant or a very pretty custom reshell. But no..... The Ebay seller just had bright blue LED lights on when they took the pictures. 😭😭
