Disability is not a punishment, but I think the world would be genuinely improved if every person involved in writing or regulating ingredient labels was mysteriously inflicted with at least one food allergy falling under each of the following categories: "natural flavors," "modified food starch," "artificial flavors," "spices," and "color." Down with ingredient labels so vague that they defeat the entire fucking point.

If you don't have food allergies or other dietary restrictions, imagine you noticed that everything you buy at the grocery store had added "glunk" to its ingredient label, so you looked up what "glunk" was, and the first result was like: "Regulating agencies allow various food additives to be labeled as 'glunk.' The two most common types of glunk are delicious nutritious dietary fiber, and plutoniium-238."

hi everybody!

as some of you may know, theres a new acronym: qai.

it was a queer community acronym made to include people— including those who are cishet yet still queer in some way— while also being broader than mogai yet less broad than liom. it's also meant to be short and easy to remember.

the thing is, im worried its not been helping people, or fulfilling its intended purpose.

due to this, ive been contemplating making a survey. if you use the qai acronym in any way, the survey would be open to you! it would ask you some questions on the acronym, in order to make sure a majority of people would like to continue using it.

if i find that a majority of people like the acronym and want to keep it, then it'll stay!

on the other hand, if i find that a majority of people have problems with the acronym, any posts i have with info on it will be privated, and the rentry will be deleted (or moved, for safe-keeping purposes.)
