hi lyr! i adore your art style, especially in your comics, its so cool! i particularly like your lineart and all of the textures you use (like all those little dots), it really has that manga effect!
sorry if this has been asked before, but what software do you use? have you posted any tutorials for your art process? my own goal is to one day turn The Cadence of Part Time Poets into a comic like you're doing with atyd, so seeing your work has been really inspiring!
also, how do you make such detailed backgrounds in your style? they almost look like pixelated images, i'm very curious on how you do it 👀

I thought i was crazy doing Atyd but cadence its another level! Ahahah
I use photoshop as my drawing software, but for sure clip studio its a great tool for comic’s aswell.
About the “effects” it’s just really a bunch of noise ahahahaha and there is a lot of manga style brushes u can download! I usually change default or downloaded brushes to my taste and with the years i came up with my own pack of brushes! I recommend you try and play with it until u find a brush that u like 🫠
The backgrounds look like images cause they are images (not all of them, sometimes i have to draw backgrounds) ahahaha but i paint and edited a ton on top of the “original” image. The luck that i have with atyd is that its Hogwarts, and it’s a place that we already know how it looks like and where it was shooted… so its easy to find a good reference 😉

I really wanted to animate one of these scenes where Ron and Harry are goofing off, because I think it’s interactions like these that make the books fun.
Ron is my favourite character. And you can tell just from watching my other videos. The movies did my boy so dirty, this is my way of giving him the spotlight for once.
