When she became pregnant she moved back with her parents Octavio and Sophia Barreras to help watch over Eugene. It was hard at first for the grandparents to come around, but Angela had an "awakening" and got her shit together after Eugene's birth becoming a registered nurse. apparently Eugene is canonically the youngest of 3, so I'm either gonna have to figure that out or keep him an only child
