@mailed-it / mailed-it.tumblr.com

A physical postcard exchange for Thai dramas, mini-series, and films. Feel free to join our discord server to chat and brainstorm ideas!

Pinned

Do you like receiving little gifts in the mail? Do you like making fun things for your favorite series? If the answer is yes, then you’re in the right place: Welcome to Mailed it!, a multi-fandom postcard exchange for Thai dramas, mini-series, and movies.

For this exchange, participants will make one 4x6 inch or A6 postcard for a fandom their giftee requested. In return, they will receive at least one 4x6 inch or A6 postcard for a fandom they have requested. This exchange is open to anyone and everyone who wants to spread a little love, from all around the world and with all levels of arts and crafts experience.

This exchange will run from Feb 20, when fandom nominations open, to May 28, when we estimate all participants will have received their gift postcard(s) and the zine PDF of all cards is released. Postcards are expected to be sent in the mail to the organizer by April 14, who will then mail postcards to recipients to ensure that everyone is sent a postcard and to keep personal information safe with only one person.

If you’re interested, you can find more information in our information doc here and our FAQ here. Follow our tumblr to keep up with exchange updates, or join us on our exchange discord here

Hope to see you there! ;)

See our exchange schedule under the cut:

Also, don't forget: time is flying by, all postcards will be due next weekend! If you don't have a solid idea for your gift yet or are struggling with some part of the make, please don't hesitate to reach out to organizers soon for assistance ❤

Happy making!

Gift assignments have been sent out! If you don’t see an email from mailedit.exchange@gmail.com in your inbox, please check your spam folder. If you still don't see an email from us, please email us ASAP. If you have any concerns you can reach out to us at this email address at any time.

Remember to keep your assigned giftee a secret! If you have any questions--in regards to the exchange, or for your giftee, or even just to chat and brainstorm your postcard--feel free to email the mods at any time. We also have a discord server as an option if you’d like help brainstorming ideas, finding resources, general cheerleading, etc.

If you missed signing up but would like to join as a Pinch Hitter, the form is now open here. You are only required to offer one fandom as a pinch hitter, but you can offer as many fandoms as you like.

Thank you to everyone who signed up for this exchange, we can't wait to see what you create!

Anonymous asked:

For the discord server, how active does one have to be if they join? I get really anxious so I tend not to be super active in them though I enjoy being in them.

You do not have to be active, although we would appreciate it if everyone who joins does a quick intro post.

And if you only want to join to keep track of updates by setting up notifications for the update channel, that's perfectly okay. Whatever you're comfortable with. :)

Sign-ups are now closed!

Thank you to everyone who signed up ❤ Now it’s time for organizers to duck behind the curtain and get everyone matched up– gift assignments will be sent out via email on March 20, so keep an eye out for us in your inbox then!

Sign-ups for Mailed It!, a Thai drama postcard exchange, are now open! You can sign-up for this exchange here

If you have any interest in making and receiving cute little fandom things, we highly encourage you to sign-up! We have 61 Thai dramas and movies in our exchange tagset, and all you need to sign-up is interest in requesting 2 of them and offering for 3.

Even if you don’t feel particularly arts and crafty, this postcard exchange accepts all sorts of submissions, including things like ficlet cards, interactive activity cards, and more—so long as the postcard makes you smile when making it, it’s allowed in the exchange. These postcards are also not intended to take long to make. You can see examples of the sorts of postcards accepted to the exchange here.

You can find more information on the exchange here and more information on our sign-ups specifically here

Sign-ups are open until March 16, so be sure to sign-up by then!

Sign-ups close in five days! Don't wait too long to sign-up, you won't want to miss it!

If you're unsure about signing up or worried about what you'd be committing to if you did, you can find example postcards made by the organizers here (similarly, our graphic decorations are also examples of postcards that could be made with a graphics program!). Our only restrictions on postcards involve things that would prevent us from being able to physically ship (or print) your postcard, otherwise we will accept just about anything. The postcards themselves are only expected to take a few hours to make, and as you can see with our examples, they can be more traditional postcards that are drawn/painted or papercraft, or they can be more text-heavy ficlet or poetry postcards, or interactive cards such as activity games or pocket postcards, or more.

So if this sounds like fun to you, please don't to sign-up! ^^

Sign-ups close today at 11:59 PST. If you've been procrastinating, sign-up now so you don't miss out!

See our current list of sign-ups here.

made a little gift for @shubaka :D

also technically an example for the @mailed-it exchange as an example card, even tho 'he she it' wasn't nominated for the exchange. I wanted to make a card using a low res jpeg tho, and there is zero good quality images for this show so I slapped a gaussian blur on fuzzy mcgee .jpeg and went from there XD the water background is also an ad from a magazine, as opposed to me printing anything.

btws, if making a little lowkey postcard sounds fun to you, sign-ups for the exchange are currently on-going, check it out :D
