neil hair hcs thru college yippee ^-^

- beginning of tfc his hair is longer than he's used to and growing out in a bad way (mary used to cut it w kitchen scissors. and he hasnt touched it outside of dye since her death). luckily he pulls it off cus he's hot but its very choppy, very damaged, lots of split ends etc

- it gets cut way shorter than he likes at evermore to make the going back to his og color process easier, and it does get rid of a decent amount of the damage but neil is not a fan of how little hair there is on his head :/

- his 2nd year its still pretty short but allison forces him to use actual products and she cuts it for him often so its well maintained. this is also when he realizes he likes it long enough for andrew to play with or grip.

3rd/4th year is when he starts growing it out seriously. i think once he gets it long enough he sticks to shoulder length. this is also when the bandana + bun/ponytail combo is introduced. andrew lets a few (a lot of) shots in goal due to this distraction. andrew also likes it best when its down because he can play with it / run his fingers through it (also grip. again.) he also teaches himself how to braid (just in case neil asks)

5th year neil buzzes it himself at 2 am right around the fall banquet bcus he thought it would make him miss andrew's fingers in it less (it doesnt work) and he has many regrets. he still looks good with it short bcus Bone Structure but he misses the long hair baddd. also when andrew finds out neil buzzed it he punches a hole in his apartment wall 👍
