“I—” Steve stammered, felt the blush rising again, and he purposefully dropped the almond in his hand, reaching down to find it, giving himself a chance to look away.  “Confidence, Steve,” Eddie whispered, retrieving the almond himself and holding it out for Steve to pluck from his palm. “You’re not shy. Answer with confidence, like I showed you.” Steve slid back into his seat, sitting up straight, and said, “I never kiss and tell, sir.” He tossed the almond up, catching it with his mouth and let it crunch under his back teeth. Eddie grinned, then dialed it back, sucking his lips into his mouth to stop the smile, but his eyes glittered with delight.  “There, doesn’t that feel better? I knew you weren’t shy,” Eddie murmured, smiling softly. “I’m shy.”

“Your name is spelled right on here.” “Correctly. ‘Your name is spelled correctly,’ and no, Mr. Harrington, it isn’t.” Steve began to type, speaking the words aloud as he did so. “Sincerely, E. Edward Munson.” “E. Edward Munson, Esquire.” His breath was hot where it fanned out across the overwarm planes of Steve’s face. “Esquire?” Steve questioned. “Esquire. Again.”  He backed up the spacing, and began to type once again. “E. Edward Munson, Esquire.” “Again.”  “E. Edward Munson, Esquire.”

“There’s something different about you, Steve, your posture, the way you hold yourself. Tense, like a rubber band pushed past its limit.” “I know,” Steve whispered, feeling all at once wrung out and thin, unused to being seen so plainly. He had thought that he was masking it better, but as the man said, there was just something different about the way the lawyer looked at him, something that felt kindred. His scars called out, humming beneath his skin in recognition. “What happens when you snap?”

Glory Days, written for the SBB24, Pas De Deux, written for the SteddieRBB24, and SweetTart

OOF. Pushed myself a little too hard at the end of 2024 - coming off the heels of Glory Days (which was a big endeavor for me since I've never written omegaverse plus... all that baseball lol), I ran headfirst into two back to back holiday fics and some drawings all due during the busiest time of the year. NBD. It took a lot for me to drag my carcass back from the edge and start writing again. The burn out was so frustrating, but you can't force it. Clearly I needed a time out, but we're so back baby!

I'm not a fast writer and I need to accept that I am aiming to put out quality not quantity. I need to stop stressing imaginary timelines and just enjoy the process and try to get better with every fic I write!

I've done a little reading of things for friends here or there, but never a full betaing. I would if someone asked me, I just never have the time, but I love reading the things my friends create!

Oh gosh. I really loved all of them, but I guess if I have to choose... Pas De Deux is probably the biggest scope of any fic I've written, with a lot of back and forth timelines that are all meant to weave together to create the full story. It's probably the fic I'm most proud of. Glory Days was such a fun project for me because it was so different, but also it was something I was working on with a friend, for a friend. I wrote that as a gift for the incredible @mbeebinds who is my WORST FRIEND and who spoon fed me baseball pants as a plot and off we went! Two Birds, One Stone was something that I wrote JUST FOR ME (imagine that), an au of my favorite Christmas movie. I love it so much and I really wish more people would read it because I could scream about it all day every day. All this being said... I have such a special place in my heart for everything I've written, but also SweetTart is one of my all time fandom highlights because my friend @ladydarklord made a podfic of it for my birthday this year that I am OBSESSED with it. SO GOOD, PLEASE GO LISTEN!!

I am balls deep (heh) in my Secretary au, Esquire, and I CANNOT WAIT to unleash it upon you all. What an undertaking this has been, but I've written it so fast, truly a passion project for me. It's the first time I've felt good writing in a hot minute, so I've put everything else to the side and am just going with the flow. I've loved the movie Secretary for going on twenty years and have wanted to write it for so, so long and I can't believe we're finally almost there! Also just signed up for the SBB25 and am excited for that as well! I've got plenty of other wips in my bag of secrets, who knows where the year will bring us!

“You’re in love!” Robin shouted it, then covered her mouth with both her hands to muffle the following shriek.  Steve could feel his face go hot as instantly a pair of dark eyes and a wide, wicked smile flashed through his mind. “I’m not in love,” he protested weakly.  “Oh my god, that’s it,” she said, ignoring him completely as she got up and began to pace. “You’re distracted, you’re always smiling to yourself in weird way, you smell different, your hair is all shiny again—” “I smell different?” “I don’t know, like musky, forest-y, something green — I didn’t say it was a bad thing,”  Robin kept talking a mile a minute, not noticing as Steve was having a minor mental break where he sat. That was Eddie’s smell, his cologne. “Granted, I didn’t know you when you were with Nancy, that was before my time, but the signs are all there, Steve! You, my friend, are ass over tits in love!”
