My car failed inspection🥲

3 more issues found and I already have to pay $200 for a different issue with it.... I've already spent over $1k.....and I have hundreds more to go.... I can't fucking do this

I don't know the total cost of everything yet but I do know it'll be at least a few hundred on top of the $200 I have to pay for everything else

I'm gonna be paying at a least $500 for everything 🙃😭 and that's not even including the cost of what I owe to my car insurance to get that renewed. I predict I'm gonna pay at least $1k to get this thing legal 😭

I also should mention that we lost our food stamps recently and my mother lost her job and is receiving less than I am on SSI, so we won't have any money at all for food for the month if I pay for this on my own

And I have no choice but to pay for it if I want to be able to drive anywhere in town, such as my doctor appointments, volunteer work, getting our prescriptions, etc.... I can't afford a ticket and/or getting my car out of impound on top of all of this. So in other words

I got the estimate for the cost of repairs for what it would need to pass inspection (this doesn't include all of the other issues with it)

On top of that $730, I have to pay $200 over a 5 1/2 year old legal issue before I can get my tags renewed, plus I have to pay off an old insurance bill and get it reinstated (probably around $300 total).

I'll go ahead and keep the goal at 1k, I may be able to make up the extra 200 on my own, but I'll keep everyone updated.

I had my first day volunteering at the animal shelter yesterday. My kid and I have doctor appointments this week and next week. I still have to get our prescriptions, food, and all of our other necessities. I have to drive my kid to school some days because the bus is late. My friend Sahar @reallyoptimisticface was separated from her children before the current aggression started, and they have been living in Gaza without their parents for almost two years. She knows that they live in danger, and we both worry for them daily. The area they're currently in is an extremely dangerous zone and the lack of connection makes communication hard. Her older daughter Diana has been caring for her younger siblings, but she's suffered burns and wounds from being forced to cook over open flames.

As more news comes out and we see the extent of the Israeli violence, Sahar worries her children may be next. Please stand by her and support her so she can see her children again, bring them to safety, and be together as a family. No child should have to live through this. This is the worst Eid I have ever experienced in my entire life. I lost all my friends in the war and I am left alone here suffering from the pain of loss. I used to go and visit my friends, but today I went to their homes and found their mothers collapsing from crying and grieving over the loss of their sons. We used to meet and go out and spend a pleasant time together, but unfortunately today I went and visited them in the cemetery and sat next to them all day crying from the intensity of my pain and regret. Okay so my roommate has now threatened multiple times to stop paying rent and tell the landlord there's people living here who aren't on the lease as well as several other behaviours that have made her increasingly impossible to live with she's the only one who's actually on the lease and I think it's time for me to gtfo.
