How to add pictures to themes (Tumblr update: Upload Static File gone)

Hello guys! Surely many of you noticed that the upload_static_file page is redirecting you now to your Customize page. Here is a tutorial on how to add pictures to themes directly from your Edit HTML page instead of using an external image hosting.
