A trauma bond is a term for when an abuse victim forms an attachment to their abuser usually due to the abuser “counteracting” the abuse in some way through acts of “kindness” afterwards or their violence being more intermittent

A trauma bond is NOT bonding over having similar trauma or surviving a trauma together

So when ppl say shit like oh Chris and bucks trauma bond it makes my eye twitch cos MAAM buck would have to be an abuser for that
